What you'll do As Project Engineer, you will provide engineering support on a wide range of turnkey telecoms projects. Primary tasks include : systems design, preparation of engineering documents, testing and commissioning of telecoms systems. • Operate within a virtual project team, lead engineer for a system or systems, liaise with other engineers and technicians during the lifecycle of a project.
• The detailed design, production of project documents & drawings, configuration, pre-FAT testing, and conduction of client witnessed FATs as required (PAGA, CCTV, ACS, Radio, LAN, WAN, SCS, IDS, etc.)
• Liaise with suppliers & third parties and assist the Project Management group to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of each Project on time and budget, ensuring that all agreed customer requirements are met.
• To travel and attend client kick-off meetings, project review meetings, and vendor / supplier FATs , as required
• Travel for site installation supervision, site commissioning and witnessing SATs, both onshore and offshore, as required.
• Support the RigNet Quality program within SI operations to uphold the highest quality standards.
• Ensure compliance and maintainability of an ISO certification across the SI organization performing appropriate gate checks to audit / monitor adherence to this program.

• HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject or extensive relevant experience
• Experience of an Operational Engineering environment required in the Telecommunication Industry
• Professional Accreditation such as Chartered Engineer, MIET or working towards these.

• Capable of working under pressure and the ability to multi-task effectively both independently and within a team

• Carry out repairs and maintenance work as requested by the Maintenance Manager, ensuring that work is carried out safely and efficiently.

About the role

This position is for a Field Technician in Aftermarket and Service, reporting to Service Supervisor. Installs, tests, services, and repairs equipment to conform with company operating specifications and customer requirements. Perform jobs given on daily basis by direct supervisor, carries out work related to maintenance contracts, repairs and some warranty related jobs. Relies on moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks as instructed by Service Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receives daily job schedules from concerned Service Supervisor and executes accordingly in a timely manner
• Executes and completes the job as per the budgeted man-hour
• Use SYCLO device and generate / deliver time confirmations, job cards and EH&S site surveys
• Meets assigned SOIP target (revenue, utilization, GM, call back rate, EH&S, and MFA)
• Executes assigned jobs
• Assists Senior Technicians on jobs as required
• Reports escalated problems and spare parts requirements to Supervisor for necessary arrangements
• Install spare parts when attended
• Attends EH&S trainings and always follow guidelines
• Use right tools & PPEs in appropriate way. Inspect and inform Supervisors.

• Field-based role - primary service area includes residential and commercial clients throughout the region. Daily travel required; company vehicle provided.
  
  

• Carry out and undertake Preventive Maintenance works of all equipment as per the job card prepared and updated by Maintenance Supervisor with in the stipulated time. Carry out repair work on equipment faults as they are reported
• Monitor all the equipment, report and rectify any deviations in performance to the maintenance supervisor Attend breakdowns, suggest remedies for rectification and make the equipment back in service in the least time.
• Carry out periodical checks and monitor all the Cold Storages and Air conditioning Systems in the building
• Carry out maintenance work on Rolling shutters and scissor lifts to ensure operational effectiveness
• Ensure all maintenance logs are updated with information following repair and planned preventative maintenance.
• Update and maintain the maintenance log book with material delivery, consumption and Preventive Maintenance Records daily.
• Carry out various cleaning and washing operations related to equipment servicing and planned maintenance operations to ensure effective operation
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operations to guarantee employee safety, corporate security, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service with a responsible environmental attitude Comply with all laws, regulations and procedures defined by QACC
• Ensure the identification of hazards, reporting of occurrences and risks to ensure safety and security of the operations.
• Provide support to external contractors as required to ensure the operational effectiveness of QACC
