Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor supports the Facilities Maintenance Superintendent in the maintenance of all Amentum facilities at the designated site. Supervises and evaluates employees and coordinates the activities of the Facilities maintenance team as directed by the FMT Superintendent. Provides supports with creating reports, maintaining records and handling documentation. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
Principal Accountabilities
- Manages FMT work orders involving structural, mechanical, electrical and facility preservation tasks.
- Ensures that the Preventive Maintenance Program is strictly adhered to.
- Maintains high standards of quality, safety and performance of the FMT department.
- Performs periodic inspections.
- Identifies and initiates corrective maintenance requirements.
- Oversees preventative and corrective work orders in the DBMS (Maximo), ensuring timely completion within allowable periods.
- Manages the issuance of preventative and corrective work orders from the DBMS (Maximo) to the Facilities Maintenance Team.
- Identifies parts and material requirements and initiates purchase requests accordingly.
- Responsible for the accountability and condition of tools and equipment.
- Provides and documents on the job training to FMT personnel.
- Reports personnel issues to the FMT Superintendent.
- Conforms to Amentum / USAF safety / handling of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) IAW quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Works in office environment, maintenance shop and throughout the site booth outdoors and indoors.

Capacity to work effectively with diverse workforce encompassing diverse cultural backgrounds. Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license. May be required to operate material handling equipment. High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience or qualifications in Facilities Maintenance encompassing a high level of competence in basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, metal work and masonry. Five years' experience in Supervisory or Management and organizational planning preferably gained within the armed forces required. May be required to work outdoors for extended periods. May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment. Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed. Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting / pushing / pulling a minimum of 50 lbs. manually handling equipment and material. Must be able to make use of ladders and work on manlifts, scaffolding or elevated locations. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally. Conduct coordination with other facility maintenance tradesmen and civil engineering authorities. Work from blueprints, specifications, drawings, and instructions to remodel, retrofit, maintain, and repair various types of facilities and structures. Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work by contractors. Plan, install, repair, alter, and/or replace furnishings, fixtures, equipment, appliances, and finishes to include doors, flooring, ceilings, and cabinets as necessary. This includes inspection, maintenance, repair or improvement of roofing components, windows, exterior drainage.
Minimum Requirements
Active in Scope TS/SCI security clearance. Five years of relevant facility maintenance experience. Experience with maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing fixtures and systems. Knowledge of welding and sheet metal fabrication for minor maintenance and repair of flashing, ducting, fencing, turnstiles, signage, and other structural components. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the Air Force or Army culture, language and expectations for mission success.
Work Environment
Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required. Working conditions include a combination of an office environment and outdoor activities. Outside working conditions include potential exposure to extreme high temperatures, dry and dusty conditions. Required PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices depending on the task assignment. Lifts and carries all types of working materials, equipment, and tools of the trade. May handle materials and equipment that weighs over 50 pounds or more.
