Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Specialist shall perform the following responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Ensures that adequate safety precautions are taken prior to any job.

  • Assist in performing daily maintenance prescribed in the maintenance manual and record the same in the maintenance file.

  • Ensure that all equipment for the job is free of any damages/defects and is fully operational prior to any operations job. In the event of damages, a damage report shall be made.

  • Ensure that job is conducted as per the Standard Operating Procedures and is in adherence to the Company policies and procedures.

  • Good source of information for maintenance to be carried out. After completing these tasks, the Senior Maintenance Specialist should be able to perform the maintenance by self on the following Well Testing related Equipment.

  • Ball valves, Gate valves, and Non-return valves , Valves, actuators, PSV, vacuum valves & its accessories Triplex pump as per API standards

  • Conduct hydrotesting and leak testing after valve maintenance

  • Troubleshoot valve operation problems (leakage, jamming, actuator malfunction)

  • Ensure proper tagging, identification, and calibration of valves

  • Maintain records of valve inspection, repair, and test results

  • Pumping unit general maintenance.

  • Electronic troubleshooting as applicable.

  • Static types of equipment – Heat Exchangers, columns, Vessels, Boilers, etc.,

  • Plan and execute equipment repair and scheduled maintenance. Conducts mechanical inspections.

  • Ensure the equipment maintenance and repair activities are recorded in EMMS on daily basis.

  • Carry out dismantling, inspection and re-assembly of the centrifugal overhung pumps, between bearing single, double, and multistage pumps and vertically suspended pumps live testing and calibration of PSV using TREVITEST and LEGATEST

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance of rotating, stationary equipment and various type of pumps, compressors, and its auxiliary systems.

  • Coordinate with operations, mechanical, and instrumentation teams for smooth functioning.

  • Must be proficient in the English language

  • Must have basic Computer Skills in MS Office

  • Possess excellent Quality Control, Safety and Handling Skills

  • Basic Knowledge of equipment functionality, periodic inspection and maintenance

  • Expertise in the latest technology for equipment maintenance

  • Technical expertise in all types of valves, actuators, PSV, vacuum valves & it's accessories.

The role holder is responsible for carrying out service field activities (preventive maintenance, call back attendance, planned/un planned repair works, modernization etc.), within the respective territory/route assigned. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures,

Core Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning and other contractual works of assigned units, as per the route chart issued.
  • Conducts adjustments and repairs (planned & unplanned) for Otis products within the assigned area, with minimum assistance from the Team Lead - Mechanic.
  • Attends to equipment call-backs and conducts inspection and fault finding to return the equipment to service.
  • Identifies and reports abnormalities (interior as well as exterior), missing components etc. through the maintenance process to highlight safety concerns, implement corrective actions and generate upselling opportunities.
  • Co-ordinates with Otis Line Operators to ensure call backs are attended as per the defined service level agreements.
  • Completes timesheets, log cards, maintenance JHA, OSA forms, SVR sheets etc. associated with mechanical duties in timely manner.
  • Conducts operations within the client site rules and regulations, escalating potential conflicts with Otis safety guidelines.
  • Ensures all service/maintenance operations are conducted within the OTIS safe working procedures, WWJSSS requirement etc. and adequate personal protective equipment to minimize any safety concerns.
  • Supports other junior colleagues with service/maintenance operations at the client sites, acting as a buddy to help develop their skills further.
  • Reports any accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe conditions etc. that occur during work activity and impact the safety of the mechanics or end users to the Team Lead - Mechanic.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in elevator industry
  • Trouble shooting, major and minor repair works for Elevator and Escalator.
  • Diploma or equivalent education
  • Good communication skills

Job Summary

This position is for a Field Technician in Aftermarket and Service, reporting to Service Supervisor. Installs, tests, services, and repairs equipment to conform with company operating specifications and customer requirements. Perform jobs given on daily basis by direct supervisor, carries out work related to maintenance contracts, repairs and some warranty related jobs. Relies on moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks as instructed by Service Supervisor.

  • Receives daily job schedules from concerned Service Supervisor and executes accordingly in a timely manner
  • Executes and completes the job as per the budgeted man-hour
  • Use SYCLO device and generate / deliver time confirmations, job cards and EH&S site surveys
  • Meets assigned SOIP target (revenue, utilization, GM, call back rate, EH&S, and MFA)
  • Executes assigned jobs
  • Assists Senior Technicians on jobs as required
  • Reports escalated problems and spare parts requirements to Supervisor for necessary arrangements
  • Install spare parts when attended
  • Attends EH&S trainings and always follow guidelines
  • Use right tools & PPEs in appropriate way. Inspect and inform Supervisors.
  • Maintain site house-keeping post work completion

  • Proficiency (Speak, Read & Write) in English
