An exciting opportunity for Production Planning Engineer to work under Light Maintenance.
You will provide specialized know edge r assigned planning functions including Aircraft Maintenance Program development, detailed task card development, IT system update on engineering documents and hard-time components, work scope definition, maintenance plans preparation, control of check layovers, and managing of aircraft defects with a view to optimize resources, minimize costs and ensure airworthiness.
Operational Accountabilities;
- Develop technically complex maintenance task cards and define all necessary requirements/details, for tasks originating from Approved Maintenance Program, Base Deferred Defects and Engineering documents for effective implementation. Ensure timely revision of instruction cards based on periodic review of aircraft maintenance manual revisions and/or other originating documents.
- Define work scopes and compile work packages for maintenance work on aircraft, both in-house and for outsourcing.
- Develop plan on weekly bases for all inputs related to light maintenance (A check, Special Package). Review work pack highlights to accept maintenance inputs of A check, Special Package, defect rectification for the upcoming week, review the work plans to check tasks conflicts, ground time requirements, and manpower requirements for input for weekly acceptance.
- Study the weekly workload from fleet planning as per the previously agreed capacity and coordinate with Resource Scheduler to ensure the manpower availability for the provided workload accomplishment Review content of maintenance work packages and prepare a detailed implementation plan (sequencing, splitting, project plans).
- Before and during maintenance check, coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering Services and Supply Chain for all modifications, inspections, and repair on QR fleet to ensure availability of manpower, materials, tools and equipment, downtime and necessary paperwork. Feedback discrepancies to relevant sections or resolution.
- Monitor, control, and adjust (where necessary) the maintenance check plans based on day to day actual work progress and highlight any significant deviation from the plan.
- Review Base inputs in case of AOGs, check layover extensions due to inspection findings, new Aircraft delivery delays, and operational disruptions. Workout the revised plans meeting Approved Maintenance Program interval requirements as well as maintenance constraints with an aim to maintain integrity of flight schedule.
- Act as a document reviewer on Engineering documents and Base Deferred Defects that been set up in the IT system. Carry out necessary validation to ensure integrity of uploaded data. Review completed work packages, take necessary action for any incomplete maintenance, and update IT system in order to generate a fresh maintenance forecast.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed b the Head of the Department.

Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
- Degree (B. Eng., BSc in Engineering discipline) or hold an ICAO type Il License.
- Proof of involvement in any process improvement exercise within Planning.
- Any additional courses related to Aircraft Maintenance Planning, LEAN Fundamentals, and Safety Management System.
- General Knowledge of Aircraft Systems, Maintenance Environment constraints.
- Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance data
- Knowledge of Part M and Part-145 Regulations and functions.

About the role
In this role you will be responsible for driving the overall network optimization and load factors improvements by processing requests in line with pre-defined O&D strategies, as well as monitoring the performance of allotments in order to ensure capacity is blocked for highly utilized allocations. The role is also responsible for providing analytical insights through reports, communicate any strategy deviation to management and suggest proactive solutions.
As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include the following:
- Process ad-hoc allotment requests on a daily basis for the assigned region by reviewing the rates and capacity, ensuring they meet the pre-defined requirements and are aligned with overall O&D strategy.
- Monitor and communicate the allotment performance for the assigned region on a weekly basis
- Follow up on the RFQ deadlines, and prepare required data for the bid
- Proactively review capacity changes with the network planning and scheduling teams, and communicate the changes to the region
- Monitor strategy results using internal dashboards and communicate deviations to respected teams
- Support the team in the allocations review during seasonal changes
- Attend the scheduled regional meetings and present inputs where possible

- Minimum bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of job-related experience.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced problem-solving capabilities
- Previous experience in Cargo revenue management preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple, time- sensitive deliverables and competing priorities
