Collaborate with industry advisory boards toenhance programme relevance and quality.
Develop assessments in accordance with LJMUguidelines, adhering to assessment matrices and deadlines for verification andexternal moderation.
Act as a personal tutor for students across theprogramme portfolio.
Mentor and coach students, addressing academicconcerns, performance, and progression.
Teach and assess students across written andpresentation skills, providing individualised feedback.
Participate in extracurricular activities tofoster teamwork and student engagement.
Supervise or co-supervise undergraduate andpostgraduate research projects.
Comply with LJMU academic regulations and OUCquality assurance processes.
Contribute to the development of existingprogrammes and the introduction of new ones.
Develop and deliver CPD and short courses toexpand the School of Foundation Studies and Mathematics' portfolio.
Engage in approved research within strategicpriority areas.
Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars,tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, and field excursions forundergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Attend departmental, school, and facultymeetings, and participate in committee memberships.

The Secondary section of the school opened in September 2021 (for Years 7 to 10) and so the department is in its infancy. There are two other teachers who currently teach Mathematics and we are in the process of designing and building our curriculum so that it matches the skills requirements of the i/GCSE qualifications and our aim and vision for the school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers to gain experience in one of the premier independent British Curriculum schools in the Middle East. This position is also a great opportunity for experienced teachers to advance, as there are opportunities for career progression as the school grows towards full capacity, which it is intended to reach over the next two years.
Successful applicants must have:
- A certified UK teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, or PGCE.
- **A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics.**:
- **Recent experience teaching i/GCSE and AS/A level Mathematics (preferably with either Cambridge or Pearson International Examinations).**:
- A desire to help build a thriving department in a new girls’ school.
- A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.
