- Be fully aware of EPC Contract, subcontracts for mechanical works and various Project

**Tasks**:

readiness, checking and implementing commissioning procedures );
- Provides input into the weekly site meetings, progress and/or discipline technical meetings with
EPC Contractor;
- Monitors and checks the EPC Contractors' work across each discipline to ensure the timely
delivery of the works;
- Confirms and provides the PD with the inputs for the monthly progress reports, relevant
information to check EPC Contractor invoices.
- Verification of the site logbook managed by the EPC Contractor;
Objectives/Accountabilities
- In cooperation with the schedule engineer, and in relation to the mechanical activities:
- Follows up of the actual progress versus planned values, ensures that the critical
activities are executed according to schedule, and looks for opportunities to create
margin within the critical path.
Key requirements
Experience and qualifications required
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction of industrial facilities
- Project Management Professional (PMP) OR equivalent certification is preferred
- EPC background and experience
- Experience with projects valued at over $50 million
- A minimum of two construction projects completed

- Forecast resources required for the planned work ahead (Manpower, Equipment’s etc.)
- To be able to conduct meeting with those reporting to him in an organized manner.
- To set targets of production for each of those directly reporting to him, targets for Foremen.
- To be able to communicate supports services in the yard, plate shop, pipe shop, rigging, scaffolding, warehouse, facility, QC & NDT.
- Provide written instruction where necessary to those directly reporting to him.
- Drive the team to achieve progress, productivity, safety and quality.
Know and understand the estimated man-hours on the work packs, maintain man-hours booking within estimate and provide weekly progress to production engineers.
- Take actions where standards and targets are not met.
- Where necessary refer quality / progress/ productivity issue to his superintendent and provide recommendation for improvement
- Address any issue of poor quality/ productivity and take action where appropriate.
- Report area of poor performance and provide recommendation for improvement.
- Provide accurate feedback to Superintendent.
- Ensure CIR (Computer Input Request) submitted and RFI (Request for Inspection) are raised on timely manner.
- Conduct TBT with crew, conduct safety walkthrough and address any issue of safety, check HIT process.
- Review TRA with his foremen when require and ensure it is discussed with his crew.
- Maintain good housekeeping on his work area. Promote BBSM process be responsible for his team’s safety.
- Lead by example and make sure company policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications
- Diploma in Sciences or Engineering.

Prepare for and participate in construction related meetings. 4.Provide guidance and timely review on EPC Contractor's Mechanical & HVAC engineering designs and processes verifying fitness for purpose and compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards and ensure PMT or other technical support is available to address any gaps. 5.Coordinate EPC Contractor, vendor's work activities, and interface coordination with the activities of Third Parties. Review of method statements, JSAs and other documents to ensure safe and proper construction and PMC by EPC Contractor. Ensure construction work carried out in accordance with Qatargas rules, regulations, standards and permit to work procedures as applicable. 6.Support Head of Construction in delivery of the Engineering and Process design of Mechanical equipment, HVAC Duct & equipment and coordinate the field installation of the Mechanical & HVAC duct/equipment, providing start-up and commissioning support. 7.Promote inter-departmental communications and encourage teamwork through managing the Mechanical & HVAC engineering interface between Engineering, Operations, and Startup Team. 8.Provide technical support and advice to project procurement and construction activities and support Head of construction in monitoring the EPC Contractor progress on delivery of the required documents in the Mechanical/HVAC engineering discipline. Review the construction sequence/logic, work plan/procedures, pre-task planning and methods statement to ensure effective work execution and safety 9.Reports progress, performance, initiatives, issues and challenges to Head of construction. Provides input to and review development of contractor's detailed plans to complete the work.
Profile
Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Diploma/HNC/Vocational Qualification in Sciences / Engineering / Industrial
Relevant Work Experience: 8 years' experience with Large Projects in Mech & HVAC Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, etc.) in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Experience as a Mechanical/HVAC specialist / superintendent for offshore oil & gas project. Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to mechanical & HVAC. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc. Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities. Significant experience in working with EPC Contractors and interfacing with specialized service suppliers. Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office
