Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical & Piping Engineer with extensive expertise in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of GRP, FRP, CS, and SS piping systems in Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience, including proven involvement in QatarEnergy / QatarEnergy LNG projects. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all piping-related engineering and construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and supervise installation and testing of GRP, FRP, CS, and SS piping systems.
- Review and approve piping design drawings, isometrics, and material specifications.
- Ensure proper execution of pipe fabrication, welding, lamination, erection, and hydrotesting in compliance with project standards.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship in line with client and international codes.
- Prepare method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and other technical documentation.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, and project teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of piping works.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during installation and commissioning phases.
- Liaise with QatarEnergy / consultant representatives for approvals, inspections, and technical clarifications.
- Ensure material control, traceability, and adherence to project specifications.
- Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and provide regular technical reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in piping engineering and construction, specifically with GRP, FRP, CS, and SS piping systems.
-Previous experience with QatarEnergy / QatarEnergy LNG projects is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, AWWA, ISO, BS).
- Experience in welding, lamination, coating, hydrotesting, and pipeline pre-commissioning works.Proficiency in AutoCAD, piping design software, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and technical report writing skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all piping and equipment erection activities at the project site.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily and weekly execution programs in line with project timelines.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work procedures.
- Ensure proper allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet site progress targets.
