Job Description
The Contractor’s personnel will be responsible for the following activities :
- Supervise HVAC installation activities related to the HVAC system, including equipment packages, ducting systems, and refrigerant piping systems.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed during ducting and piping fabrication at vendor premises according to quality and construction standards.
- Ensure smooth handover of the HVAC package and installation, “Ready for Commissioning,” to the Commissioning Team.
- Ensure compliance with company and project safety procedures throughout all construction phases.
- Provide accurate data input for the production of daily progress reports.
- Promote and comply with applicable safety instructions and HSE procedures in all activities.
- Execute work in accordance with company values, policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed priorities and objectives, company standards, procedures, and good industry practices.
- Supervise HVAC package installation on-site, including Air Conditioning Units, Fan Units, HVAC Electrical and Control Cabinets.
- Oversee ducting and duct-in-line equipment installation (including safety fire dampers, fire insulation, and instrumentation), as well as duct leak testing in compliance with approved engineering documentation.
- Monitor fabrication of duct spools at manufacturer premises to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Supervise yard refrigerant piping installation and connection to HVAC ACU / ACC packages, following approved isometric drawings, pressure leak tests, and refrigerant fill procedures.
- Conduct on-site inspections upon equipment delivery against packing lists and approved engineering documentation.
- Identify discrepancies and non-conformities against approved project documentation, follow up on non-compliance issues and punch lists until resolution.
- Liaise proactively with EPC contractors and package vendors to ensure effective communication and progress.
- Prepare and participate in final pre-commissioning “walk down” to ensure installation completion and documentation readiness prior to handover to the Commissioning Team.
- Review and approve progress and inspection reports issued by EPC contractors, verifying actual site progress.
- Provide detailed daily progress reports to construction managers for timely action and mitigation.
- Coordinate and interface with other supervision personnel within the project team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associate’s or BS / HND / BTS degree in a technical field or extensive experience in the natural gas / oil industry.
- Strong working knowledge of general HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Professional experience : minimum 10 years.
- Project-specific experience : minimum 5 years.
- Familiarity with general specifications, company standards, and international codes / standards (e.g., AWS, API).
- Proficient in HVAC engineering documentation such as GA drawings, datasheets, P&IDs, SLD, isometric drawings for refrigeration systems, test procedures, ducting, and piping construction standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
- Strong leadership skills to influence and encourage personnel and EPC contractor workers / supervisors.
- Proficiency in computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and email communications.
- Mandatory language skills : English and local language based on EPC location (e.g., Mandarin or Korean).
- Required certifications : H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET training.
