Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a MEP Project Engineer located in the Doha Metropolitan Area. The MEP Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in various projects. Day-to-day tasks involve project management, developing project plans, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, and collaborating with other engineering professionals. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems skills including design, estimation, project execution, project documentation, testing and commissioning and handing over to clients.
• Experience in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering
• Project Management skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency with MEP-specific software and tools
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have MMUP registration and Grade C certificate minimum/ trainee shall apply subject to interview performance.
• Experience in the construction or MEP Projects and systems industry is a plus

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and capable engineer to lead minor civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works. The ideal candidate should have good leadership skills, practical experience in site coordination, and the ability to manage small projects efficiently.

• Conduct site visits, estimation, and budgeting of materials and work scope
• Prepare the scope of work and quotations for client approval
• Attend project meetings with clients and other stakeholders
• Prepare project documentation and technical drawings
• Coordinate site activities and provide technical guidance to supervisors and technicians
• Prepare and submit daily project updates to the Project Manager

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech / M.Tech) – Civil or Mechanical
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar field (Civil and MEP works)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp
• Familiarity with Primavera or similar project management software
• Valid Qatar driving license (mandatory)
• Transferable visa with NOC

Our client is working on a major new build Stadium project in Qatar. The Stadium will have in excess of 40,000 seats, administration facilities, and a multi-storey car park.

With a huge value, this is one of the most ambitious stadium projects in the region and will bring first-class facilities to Qatar.

As this project covers a degree of design development, we are looking for professionals with experience in major stadium construction, and previous overseas experience (ideally in the MENA region). Arabic language skills would be beneficial but are not a necessity.

On offer is a strong salary package of between QRS 40,000 and QRS 65,000 per month, which is a tax-free package of over £100,000+.
