Responsibilities

• Design LAN, CAN, WAN data, voice and video architecture.
• Configure and implement routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS (internal, external, and service provider).
• Analyze networking metrics and identify sub-par network performance.
• Develop reports and trend analysis on bandwidth and network security incidents.
• Troubleshoot network intrusion devices for DoD and commercial information assurance tools.
• Administer advanced Cisco network products (VoIP and related technologies).
• Serve as on-shift training representative for contractors and government personnel on Cisco switches/routers and LAN technologies.
• Collaborate on network/system needs; participate in planning, design, upgrade, and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware/software on a project basis.
• Provide General IT Management, Networking, and LAN/WAN Enterprise support as required.
• Provide O&M, documentation/reports, meetings/briefings, and functional training support as required.
• Provide OCONUS/CONUS travel support as required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a related field with 5+ years of relevant IT experience (preferred); or 7+ years of relevant IT experience.
• Firewall experience.
• Knowledge of what constitutes a threat to a network.
• Ability to provide feedback to enhance future collection and analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server installations in host and compute environments, and Windows Server imaging.
• Experience with storage solutions, high availability, DNS, DHCP, network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, and monitoring server environments.
• Top Secret clearance required.
