Job Summary

The Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, supporting and maintaining the Network Security Solutions and Infrastructure of CBQ, ensuring the highest level of Security, Availability, Resiliency and performance levels based on best practices and Industry standards.

Establish technical priorities, standards and procedures, ensure sufficient network / system capacities for organizational needs. Be a key member in defining IT strategy.

Key Accountabilities

• Implementation, Configuring, troubleshooting and monitoring of all the network security devices within the bank, which includes Firewalls ( Cisco ASA, Check Point, Palo-Alto, Firepower) Symantec Proxy, CAS, WSS Ironport Email Security Tipping Point Intrusion Prevention System & SMS Sonicwall SSL VPN TrendMicro Apex one RSA Authentication Manager Forescout NAC Cisco ISE F5 LTM, ASM
• Design, implement and manage enterprise wide multi-tiered, secure and high availability infrastructure based on best practices & banks policy.
• Upgrading firmwares of all devices, remediating vulnerabilities based on the advisories.
• Provide accurate problem diagnosis and solutions.
• Daily monitoring and housekeeping of the Network Security Devices and support for any network security related issues around the clock.
• Remain proficient in support scope of the Network Security Environment.
• Maintain service guidelines as outlined by CBQ.
• Taking configuration backups of network security devices.
• Well versed in using Wireshark and other packet capture methods to troubleshoot encrypted & unencrypted traffic.

- Job Description:

- Design, operate, maintain, secure and support industry-leading network infrastructure, processes, and practices to ensure defense in depth approach and ensure services availability, integrity, confidentiality, and reliability.
- Maintain and harden plant wide wired and wireless network infrastructure including Cisco ACI and Hirschman technologies.
- Implement and maintain reference architecture for on premise and cloud deployments to ensure secure landing zone, micro segmentation, zoning, access management and security controls across all workloads.
- Manage routine operation, configuration, troubleshooting and policy fine tuning of network and system security controls and solutions.

- Participate in business continuity and DR design, implementation and test activities, continuous improvement of DR plans, define and maintain BC/DR SOPs, execution of DR plan during declared state of emergency to ensure business resilience within SLA.
- Responsible to liaise with SOC to ensure proper and effective integration of security controls for continuous security and event monitoring and to support escalated incidents.
- Provide 2nd level of support for all major information security incident response, management and investigation in corporate network, cloud infrastructure, data centre, and plant wide computer rooms.
- Recommends improvements to the secure reference architecture through continuous review and assessment of the IT and OT infrastructure security requirements, policies and procedures based on secure practices, compliance, and business needs.

The primary responsibilities of the **Enterprise Architect, Network Security**
- Lead analysis of the current environment’s Network and Security specifics to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Create an Architecture roadmap for the Network and Security, based on the organizations’ strategy, to rectify gaps and pain points within the current state.
- Ability to assist in fulfilling security governance duties, attending Architecture Review Board meetings, participating in Design Authorities of key enterprise initiatives, etc.

- Expert level knowledge/experience on the routing and switching (L2/L3), routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPBGP) and MPLS technologies
- Strong knowledge on IPv6, 6PE, 6VPE
- Good experience in network and security equipment (i.e., Cisco, PaloAlto, Fortinetetc.) and IPSEC VPNs

QatarEnergy is looking to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer that will join a team responsible for the preservation of

information confidentiality, integrity and availability of ICT systems that support business operations.

The new member is required to manage, support and maintain the day-to-day security operations and system change

lifecycle of critical network security systems & services. The engineer shall provide senior technical support for selected

security devices and services in addition to providing guidance to other team members in the relevant specialized

**Experience & Skills**:

- Have eight or more years of demonstrated experience in IT Network security operations functions.
