ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking an experienced Network Specialist to join our team in Qatar. The Network Specialist will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting QT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Possess thorough understanding of LAN/WAN, cloud networking, and Aruba Wireless networking.
- Configure and optimize Wi-Fi networks with RF design knowledge and standards.
- Experience with access control technologies (ForeScout NAC, Aruba ClearPass).
- Analyze data and performance metrics to improve reliability and resiliency of wireless networks.
- Knowledge of controller-based & controllerless enterprise wireless architectures, monitoring systems, and RADIUS infrastructure.
- Operational experience with firewall and IPS/IDS solutions.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot ELV systems (CCTV, access control, fire alarms).
- Install and maintain network facilities including hardware, software, and system data.
- Install network applications on servers or voice equipment; maintain, test, research, and resolve problems.
- Determine standard testing routines or scripts; test routers, switches, or other network equipment.
- Implement and maintain LAN/WAN networks per specified requirements.
- Prepare network diagrams and drawings to document operational status.
- Perform network configurations and configuration changes on routers, switches, and other equipment.
- Prepare routine proposal documentation to meet customer requirements.
- Experience with Azure and GCP cloud platforms.
- Configure Barracuda WAF for application security tuning.
- NOC experience and hands-on with NPM tools (WhatsUp Gold, PRTG, OP-Manager).
- Project execution experience preferred.
- Develop project management plans including schedules and resources.
- Monitor, assess, and manage project progress and timelines.
- Manage project resources and coordinate team efforts to deliver projects as per plan.
- Google Cloud Network Associate level experience preferred.
- Ability to work 24/7 shifts.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science.
- 5–6+ years of experience in network engineering and security roles.
- Aruba ACSA / CCNA certified (or equivalent).
- NSE4 / PCNSA certified (or equivalent).
- GCP certification preferred (not mandatory).
- ITIL certification preferred (not mandatory).

Summary
HII – Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Network Communications person to be assigned to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar who will be responsible for operating and maintaining customer's networks and ensuring requirements are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. In addition to your base salary this role will provide assistance with housing and other necessitates required to reside in Qatar. This is a pipeline requisition, meaning while there is no immediate hiring need, we anticipate openings within the next few months.
What You Will Do
- A proven track record of performance with technical responsibility and an in-depth understanding and mastery of network including but not limited to routing, VPN, Firewall, QOS, VOIP, F5, IT management and monitoring software solutions.
- Manage the services provided by the Infrastructure team to ensure high quality of performance in implementations and networking in compliance with the IT guiding principles.
- Deliver projects within cost, time, scope & quality standards.
- Maintain the highest level of service availability within minimum service downtime.
- Manage to test and evaluate unified communications, telephony and network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Liaise with network support staff at branches globally in evaluating their existing network infrastructure and propose solutions to optimize their network infrastructure.
- Experience with design, implementation, and migration of complex network and communications projects.
- Routing and Switching experience with Cisco IOS

- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols.
