Job Description
- Teach courses in the area of expertise such as (but not limited to) human nutrition, nutrition assessment, medical nutrition therapy, food service management, community nutrition, research methods.
- Supervise research projects and theses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Contribute to the research profile of the college through research grants and publications.
- Assist in the community service, marketing, and outreach activities of the department programs.
- Contribute to various committees at the department, college, and university level.
- Engage in professional development activities/training to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay updated about advancements in the field.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
- Applicants should demonstrate active role in both collaborating on and leading independent research, including grant writing and submission.
- Strong peer reviewed publication record
- Experience in teaching and supervising post graduate degrees
- Ability to lead as well as to function as a strong collaborator on a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiar with Educational technologies used in higher education sector.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Conduct laboratory sessions and supervise student-working groups in the nutrition and food courses
- Support students in the learning process though tutorials and other supporting educational processes
- Assist instructors in following up and grading student assignments
- Assist instructors and students in securing academic resources/reference materials for courses
