My client is one of the world's leading Principal Main Contractors, with a 120-year history of delivering iconic projects across all continents within the Building and Infrastructure sectors. With over 10,000 employees globally, they are renowned for their expertise in design and build, as well as for using highly innovative construction methods.

Our client has been active in the GCC region for over 20 years and has recently been awarded a multi-million dollar mixed-use development project in Doha, Qatar. The scheme includes high-rise buildings for commercial, hotel, and retail purposes, and will involve all traditional principal main contracting duties. The project is already underway and is expected to complete by 2016.

We are seeking to recruit a Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Manager to work as part of the MEP and construction team on site.

As the T&C Manager, your duties will include:

1. Producing testing and commissioning strategy plans, forms, procedures, manuals, and project close-out documents.
2. Formulating commissioning schedules.
3. Overseeing installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
4. Collaborating with client consultants and design teams.
5. Working closely with the MEP teams.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Current GCC experience.
• Experience working as a T&C Manager, Testing & Commissioning Engineer, or in a similar capacity.
• Experience working for a main contractor on building projects.

Formulate a comprehensive commissioning programme in conjunction with the planning manager. This includes the production of commissioning logic networks, methods and programmes.
Produce a comprehensive method statement in conjunction with the QA/QC manager.
Providing a watching brief during the installation period.
Review MEP drawings and identify any possible problems for commissioning the systems.
Witnessing and collating all on site and off site pressure testing.
Overseeing all commissioning activities by sub-contractors, e.g. BMS, FAS, and Fire Protection etc.
Overseeing commissioning of TAB specialist.
Agreeing pro-forma documentation.
Establishing start up and operating procedures.
Checking test instruments.
Witnessing test results and arranging for the Consultant’s attendance.
Establishing emergency procedures and witnessing plant close down.
Defining system handover protocols.
Overseeing the production of O&M manuals.

University qualifications : M.E / M.Sc (Mechanical / Electrical)
Previous experience : Sub Contract work,10 plus Years Experience MEP

Specialist knowledge : types HVAC equipment's like AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs and Fans / LV
Other Skills : Good Communication, organized, Management skills / team leader

ABOUT THE ROLE - Offshore Facilities Commissioning Manager

Siamo alla ricerca di un Commissioning Manager altamente qualificato per la gestione delle attività di commissioning su impianti offshore (piattaforme, FPSO, moduli gas, etc.). Il candidato selezionato sarà responsabile della pianificazione, supervisione e verifica delle fasi di commissioning fino alla consegna dell’impianto al cliente o al team operativo.

Responsabilità principali:

• Coordinare tutte le attività di commissioning offshore, garantendo la conformità a specifiche tecniche, standard di sicurezza e tempistiche di progetto.
• Gestire team multidisciplinari (meccanico, elettrico, strumentale, HSE).
• Collaborare con il Project Manager, il team di costruzione e i tecnici di pre-commissioning.
• Supervisionare la messa in servizio dei sistemi principali (processo, utility, power generation, telecomunicazioni, etc.).
• Validare i piani di commissioning, i test packages e la documentazione tecnica (P&ID, DCS logic, loop checks).
• Gestire eventuali non-conformità e proporre soluzioni operative.
• Garantire il rispetto degli standard internazionali (API, IEC, ISO) e delle normative locali.
• Redigere report tecnici giornalieri e finali di avanzamento.
• Laurea in Ingegneria (Meccanica, Elettrica, Chimica o simili) o comprovata esperienza equivalente.
• Almeno 15 anni di esperienza in commissioning di impianti Oil & Gas offshore.
• Conoscenza approfondita dei sistemi strumentali, elettrici e meccanici.
• Esperienza in ambiente multiculturale e in team internazionali.
• Certificazioni HSE (es. BOSIET, HUET, H2S) obbligatorie.
• Ottima padronanza della lingua inglese (scritta e parlata).
• Forte orientamento al problem solving e alla leadership tecnica.
