Key Job Accountabilities
- Direct & provide overall leadership to the asset team to deliver QELNG's corporate goals and shareholder expectations related to all aspects of offshore assets performance.
- Approve and manage all offshore operational risks, including wells and pipelines to lower the risk to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP). Manage any offshore emergency as level 1 Incident Commander and provide input to operations level-2 Emergency Response Team, by providing leadership during any facility emergencies.
- Create and motivate a harmonious offshore environment, where personnel share living accommodations for up to 28 days (or other alternate shift schedule) to ensure a conducive productive workforce whilst maintaining workforce morale. Oversee recruitment, training & development, competency assurance, motivation & succession planning, whilst ensuring the Asset is staffed with competent personnel to meet the current and future organizational demands.
- Demonstrate visible leadership in Safety, Quality, Environment, and Integrity issues in accordance with QatarEnergy LNG Managements System processes and ensure adherence to all processes and standards by providing feedback and guidance to Heads of Operations & Maintenance/Logistics/well & Pipeline Operations when area for improvement is identified.

Typical responsibilities
- Produces and reviews piping deliverables with little input or guidance from the Lead Engineer, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the scope of work prior to issue. Such deliverables may include but are not limited to the following:
- Piping design basis, piping material specifications, piping line list, interface schedule, valve list, special items list, support schedule, wall thickness calculations, sizing calculations, stress analysis report, etc.
- Preparation and development of enquiry packages including Specifications, Datasheets, Request for Quotation and Technical Bid Evaluation relating to piping materials.

- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering from an accredited university

- Experienced in using ASME, API, ISO, DNV and Shell DEP codes and standards in pipelines design and construction.

Coordinate the geological operations planning and safe delivery of up to 35-40 new wells and re-drill work overs per year across three to five rigs.

Supports BOD check to ensure optimal well design.

Job Description
- Develop Upstream Integrated Gas Volume and Activities plan (UGP/IAP), review gas production, water injection plans and surveillance ensuring uninterrupted feed-gas delivery from wells and reservoirs to LNG trains. Support production enhancement, development studies, plans and projects to meet company targets in the most cost-effective manner.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Coordinate Integrated Activity and Gas Volume Plans as per UGP process cycles and sequences and align with stakeholders all well test and injection programs in coordination with operations Department. Monitor rig based well testing, measurement and sampling.
- Support Reservoir Engineers to develop production guidelines to optimize gas and condensate from QatarEnergy LNG wells and review non-routine or unplanned events requiring the management of special parameters (H2S/Water/Condensate/Casing Pressure).
- Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen production shortages and downtime and ensure production availability from offshore in advance to satisfy the LNG requirements and mitigate the short falls in short term basis.
- Review the analysis of all production data and parameters at offshore and onshore facilities, and ensure the use of standards, in-house application tools as well as real time information management tools (POIS).
- Develop Well Performance and System Network Performance models update and optimize performance as per the operating boundaries set by QatarEnergy LNG standards and confirm accuracy of the measurement and metering electronics and transmitters.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Analyse onshore wastewater injection wells for uninterrupted water injection and implement injection guidelines and quality requirements on a continual basis. Elevate any abnormal findings to Section Head.
- Propose stimulation strategy for QatarEnergy LNG wells and support implementation of the same and c oordinate testing and cleanup of wells post stimulation and any change management actions. Review well testing reports for new wells and re-completions.
- Assess stimulation effectiveness using rig based flow back or PLT data, recommend improvement and optimization. Analyse well performance of producing wells post stimulation and recommend remedial action such as re-stimulations to enhance productivity.
- Review input and determine production performance for Well, Platform, Asset for development and re-development projects and complete WIS and WEP development for re-completions and development wells with stimulation and well clean up input.
- Perform well production volume back allocation based on well test and reservoir engineering inputs and Production Logging (PL) interpretation. Contribute monthly and annual reconciliations at all fiscal meter levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 6 years' experience in Production Operations, Production Planning, Optimization in the Oil and/or Gas industry, including at least 2 years' experience in production technology, Petroleum engineering applications and tools for production optimization, stimulation, PLT and forecasting.
- Knowledge and understanding of well modelling, well optimization techniques, reservoir depletion methods, well performance evaluation methodologies, production planning and allocation.
- Familiar with drilling, reservoir management, fluid sampling and analysis, well work and production operations/facilities.
- Familiar with Production facilities and development, testing and metering equipment, flow assurance, pipeline management, project planning and execution.
