- Identify the HSE risks that could be encountered during each lab test/experiment and take the necessary measures to address that risk.
- Operates machines and equipment related to the various laboratory operations, such as Slabbing Machine, Plugging Machine, in order to process and prepare a wide variety of rock samples for various analytical purposes.
- To carry out core handling and preparations prior to core processing and core photography, thereby assisting the senior Lab Technician.
- To carry out Routine Core Analysis (RCA) using equipment such as the Spectral Core Gamma Ray, Miniperm, Porosimeter, Permeameter, Dean Stark and XRD as given in Attachment 2.
- Preferable to be able to prepare thin sections of core
- and cutting samples for various analytical purposes.
- Lay out core and core cutting samples for description and examination.
- Assist in maintaining an efficient, fit for purpose, sample administration.
- Receives and dispatches core and other sample material from and to contractors, venture partners and others.
- Assist in the maintenance of core processing machines and various other equipment.
- Performs related tasks such as chemical preparations, assist in the preparation of facilities for in-house training.
- Perform CT scan image acquisition and data QC/QA.
**Requirements**:
**Qualification**: Minimum completion of post-School graduate/Diploma in technical/instrument/mechanical field.
**Experience**: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Core Analysis Laboratory.
**Others**: Manual dexterity with mechanical equipment and safety conscious.
Valid H2S Certificate
