Job Purpose:-

  • To provide residential field support for assigned customers in the Qatar region. ( Yokogawa Systems & Products ).
  • This involves extensive travel throughout the assigned country and to other countries within the Middle East.
  • Individuals must be able to work independently at customer sites in providing technical resolutions.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • To provide technical assistance and maintain Yokogawa systems and products at customer sites
  • To provide the customer with installation and start up assistance
  • To perform administrative duties related to service calls
  • Troubleshoots problems on customer systems.
  • Corrects problems and repairs as necessary.
  • Carries out preventive maintenance work on assigned service contracts
  • Advises customer on site preparation and layout prior to installation
  • Performs system start up operations
  • Assists customers in the commissioning of processes
  • Modifies configuration and updates relevant documentation
  • Provides 24 hour service when on call
  • Repairs, configures, calibrates, stages and troubleshoots on systems in-house as required
  • Reports activities, times, materials and expenses in accordance with requirements
  • Performs any other related duties as required.
  • Provides Training Courses to End Users based on System Requirements.

Qualification and Experience

  • Basic Qualification – Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation or Electronics
  • Minimum 6 to 9 years’ experience in process industries-preferably Oil & Gas/Petrochemical
  • Should have worked as Project/Service engineer on at least medium-sized project ( Mainly DCS / ESD )
  • Installation and commissioning Experience is preferable
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of standards and practices used in the industry.
  • Experience on Yokogawa systems projects mainly DCS / ESD knowledge

Required Competencies / skills

  • Proficient in DCS / SED systems and SCADA software and PLC based systems
  • Basic knowledge of FF (Foundation Fieldbus) including trouble-shooting and installation
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft/ Unix Operating system is desirable
  • Basic Networking knowledge including third-party interfaces
  • Sound fundamentals of process control technology
  • In-depth knowledge of Yokogawa systems, preferably Yokogawa and third-party interface.
  • Knowledge of IT, Networking basics and Microsoft Applications.

  • Hands-on experience with online/offline modifications of TPS systems.
  • Experience in system installation, FAT setup, and SAT power-on for Experion C200 / C300 systems.
  • Knowledge of Experion migration, FSC / SM system modifications, both ONLINE and OFFLINE.
  • Virtualization knowledge; VM certification and experience with Honeywell virtual infrastructure is advantageous.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with Visio and PowerPoint is beneficial.

What you’ll do :

  • Responsible for the Testing & Commissioning of Protection IED’s, AVR, Tariff meter inclusive of Busbar Protection associated projects.
  • Responsible for the resource planning of Field Service commissioning team for active projects.
  • Manage the workload of the projects to ensure 90% and above billable ratio.
  • Collaborate with other members of a multidisciplinary team for daily work deliverables.
  • Understanding the project technical requirement Customer Standards and specification and proposing the solution to customer as per the project scope.
  • Support Operations team to execute projects efficiently in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal / external).
  • Ensure that agreements with customer for documentation lead times, delivery, reliability and quality are achieved within the budgetary constraints agreed.
  • Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention.
  • Manage and secure approvals, renewal of approvals of T&C engineers from key account customers.
  • Ensure commitments to customer are met in accordance with contract with clear feedback through consistent customer interaction, e.g. communication, (e-mail, letters, workshop, etc.) and customer meetings, periodic reviews etc.
  • Implementation of Service-Max & Conducting Gate review during the project execution.
  • Having full ability to handle Engineering and Field service works for Protection Relays, Panels modification, Protection logic diagram, GA/LA, Protection/SCS/LCC Schematics, Protection IED’s/AVR/Tariff meter Configuration, SCS Architecture, SCS Signal list, Cable Schedule, IEC61850 signal mapping, etc.
  • Support for Production documents (Wiring Table/Label list/Cable Schedule/Interpanel wiring files), CT/VT Adequacy check, Relay setting calculations.
  • Having experience for Busbar protection configuration/engineering and site testing.
  • Experienced in protection relays software (Micom, Multilin & 3rd Party), Test kits (Omicron), and Microsoft office.
  • Effectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and to build and maintain customer intimacy.
  • Works with application team to address any product issues and provide the solution to the customer.
  • Revise drawings & provide technical clarifications against comments and replying to customer/Consultant comments.
  • Support factory during Panels Integration and FAT and clarify/close any raise comments/snags during FAT.
  • Raise Change request for any such requirements which are not as per the project specification.
  • Supporting management for Man-days and materials estimation during ITO stage and its control during OTR stage.

What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical engineering or related discipline from a reputed university
  • Strong experience preferably in Protection IED’s Configuration & Testing.
  • Knowledge of GE (Micom & Multlin) Protection IED’s and Competitors Products.
  • Knowledge of schemes and application of protection relays in electrical networks including HV & EHV systems, and state-of-the-art technologies in substation automation.
  • Knowledge of Substation Automation System, Digital Substation concepts, IEC61850/PRP/HSR/RSTP and other Serial Communication.
  • Experience with Utilities and Industrial customer across Middle east, preferably with Kahramaa, Qatar Energy, Q-Companies approvals shall add advantage.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience of managing projects for protection and control systems is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the region (25%) without limitation.
  • Good oral/written communication skills in English and/or Arabic.

This role involves the testing of Protection IED’s, Customer support, Site Services, Commissioning, Maintenance works in line with the Field service & Quality Procedure. Monitoring and controlling of project allocated site service budget, implementing design change process, supervising and coordinating all Field service activities required to execute the project, whether done in house or by supplier/subcontractors, and ensuring the compliance to project technical specification in line with defined scope. The successful candidate will also coordinate with cross functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.Job Description

What you’ll do :

  • Responsible for the Testing & Commissioning of Protection IED’s, AVR, Tariff meter inclusive of Busbar Protection associated projects.
  • Responsible for the resource planning of Field Service commissioning team for active projects.
  • Manage the workload of the projects to ensure 90% and above billable ratio.
  • Collaborate with other members of a multidisciplinary team for daily work deliverables.
  • Understanding the project technical requirement Customer Standards and specification and proposing the solution to customer as per the project scope.
  • Support Operations team to execute projects efficiently in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal / external).
  • Ensure that agreements with customer for documentation lead times, delivery, reliability and quality are achieved within the budgetary constraints agreed.
  • Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention.
  • Manage and secure approvals, renewal of approvals of T&C engineers from key account customers.
  • Ensure commitments to customer are met in accordance with contract with clear feedback through consistent customer interaction, e.g. communication, (e-mail, letters, workshop, etc.) and customer meetings, periodic reviews etc.
  • Implementation of Service-Max & Conducting Gate review during the project execution.
  • Having full ability to handle Engineering and Field service works for Protection Relays, Panels modification, Protection logic diagram, GA/LA, Protection/SCS/LCC Schematics, Protection IED’s/AVR/Tariff meter Configuration, SCS Architecture, SCS Signal list, Cable Schedule, IEC61850 signal mapping, etc.
  • Support for Production documents (Wiring Table/Label list/Cable Schedule/Interpanel wiring files), CT/VT Adequacy check, Relay setting calculations.
  • Having experience for Busbar protection configuration/engineering and site testing.
  • Experienced in protection relays software (Micom, Multilin & 3rd Party), Test kits (Omicron), and Microsoft office.
  • Effectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and to build and maintain customer intimacy.
  • Works with application team to address any product issues and provide the solution to the customer.
  • Revise drawings & provide technical clarifications against comments and replying to customer/Consultant comments.
  • Support factory during Panels Integration and FAT and clarify/close any raise comments/snags during FAT.
  • Raise Change request for any such requirements which are not as per the project specification.
  • Supporting management for Man-days and materials estimation during ITO stage and its control during OTR stage.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical engineering or related discipline from a reputed university
  • Strong experience preferably in Protection IED’s Configuration & Testing.
  • Knowledge of GE (Micom & Multlin) Protection IED’s and Competitors Products.
  • Knowledge of schemes and application of protection relays in electrical networks including HV & EHV systems, and state-of-the-art technologies in substation automation.
  • Knowledge of Substation Automation System, Digital Substation concepts, IEC61850/PRP/HSR/RSTP and other Serial Communication.
  • Experience with Utilities and Industrial customer across Middle east, preferably with Kahramaa, Qatar Energy, Q-Companies approvals shall add advantage.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience of managing projects for protection and control systems is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the region (25%) without limitation.
  • Good oral/written communication skills in English and/or Arabic.

Support the Lifecycle Solutions & Services (LSS) business to drive growth and profitability in the Services sector, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and safety records. Responsible for delivering support services to customers in accordance with global standards and processes. Understand customer needs, resolve issues using technical expertise, and leverage Honeywell’s support network to provide high-quality service. Focus on customer growth and development, and identify service opportunities within the installed base at both On-Shore and Off-Shore locations. Responsibilities : Perform routine and complex preventative maintenance and corrective activities for all components of the Honeywell DCS virtualization system on Gen#2 and Gen#3 platforms. Manage complex issues and troubleshoot on-site for Honeywell DCS virtualized infrastructure under pressure. Perform maintenance and corrective activities for all components of the Honeywell DCS network design with Cisco infrastructure. Manage troubleshooting on-site for Honeywell DCS FTE network infrastructure. Coordinate with customers and the Technical Assistance Center to resolve issues promptly and enhance customer satisfaction. Influence stakeholders through effective communication, converting customer problems into actionable items and ensuring closure. Drive continuous improvement within the team to enhance service delivery. Perform modification projects and services at customer locations (SPOT and CO Jobs). Manage permit-to-work activities, including risk assessments, site impact analysis, peer reviews, and ensuring approval and control measures are in place before work begins. Raise Service Requests (SR) with the Honeywell Technical Assistance Center and follow through to resolution. Raise RMA for defective materials. Escalate SR issues with serious or political impact on site services. Maintain proactive relationships with customers to support the Honeywell install base. Provide on-call support for site issues, ensuring resolution within contractual timeframes. Support site start-up and commissioning activities in collaboration with operations. Deliver support services as per contract scope, adhering to all Honeywell processes and codes of conduct. Ensure safety procedures and matrix activities are followed as per the assigned AOP. Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor of Engineering Degree in an engineering field. 10-12 years of experience with Experion PKS / TPS / Safety System (FSC & SM). Hands-on experience with online/offline modifications of TPS systems. Experience in system installation, FAT setup, and SAT power-on for Experion C200 / C300 systems. Knowledge of Experion migration, FSC / SM system modifications, both ONLINE and OFFLINE. Virtualization knowledge; VM certification and experience with Honeywell virtual infrastructure is advantageous. AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. Experience with Visio and PowerPoint is beneficial. Networking knowledge, particularly regarding Honeywell FTE, is an advantage. Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining Experion PKS systems.
