WSP is seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer – Drainage to support the delivery of the GEC project in collaboration with Ashghal, Qatar's Public Works Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the construction of drainage systems, ensuring quality compliance, coordinating site activities, and facilitating timely completion of works in line with the contract requirements.""

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site drainage construction activities including foul sewer, stormwater, manholes, and related structures.
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant QCS/Ashghal standards.
• Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and material submittals related to drainage works.
• Conduct site inspections and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) where necessary.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are maintained across all drainage-related activities.
• Maintain daily progress reports, quality documentation, and photographic records of the work in progress.
• Liaise with contractors, utility engineers, and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Attend progress, technical, and coordination meetings with the client (Ashghal) and contractors.
• Support the testing and commissioning of drainage systems including air and hydrostatic pressure tests.
• Review and verify as-built drawings and handover documentation.
• Assist the Resident Engineer in monitoring project milestones and advising on any potential delays or deviations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in infrastructure projects, with significant exposure to drainage works.
• At least 3 years of direct supervision experience on Ashghal or similar authority projects.
• Proven knowledge of QCS, Ashghal specifications, and international drainage standards.
• MMUP/UPDA certification preferred.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with project management/reporting tools.

CCTV Systems – Must be knowledgeable and experienced in compliance with MOI regulations.

A reputed contracting company is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Site Engineer for a construction project in Burqat Al-Awamir, Qatar.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer in infrastructure and earthworks projects.
• Strong experience in:
• Excavation and trenching
• Backfilling and compaction
• Earthworks and general infra works
• Proven track record of working on major projects in Qatar.

The main duties of Material Engineer the include, but are not limited to:

· Review and approve (make recommendation for approval by the RE/SRE) of all submitted materials by the contractor.

· Ensure compliance of used materials with the project's specifications.

· Participate in construction quality control.

· Supervise, participate and direct sampling and testing of all materials according to the contract and the specifications.

· Analyze the test results in a timely manner and recommend action to the Senior Resident Engineer /Senior Materials Engineer.

· Maintain records of test results and all taken corrective actions.

· Track and review the site testing and certificates of compliance.

· Ensure very close and clear coordination of his team activities with the other construction supervision staff.

· Follow up and verify implementation of corrective actions.

· Coordinate the review and approval of specialty and other high-profile materials with PWA/PMC and other stakeholders as directed by the SRE and Senior Materials Engineer.

· Ensure inspection and checking of all delivered materials to site for conformance to the project requirements and approval, as directed by the Senior Materials Engineer/Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer.

He will lead the work inspectors in his discipline to ensure that all construction activities have been performed as per the contract and specifications.

· Perform the following drainage designs, analysis of rain fall data, flow estimation, culverts design (location & sizes), ditches design, subsurface drainage, storm water drainage network, soak away design (trench & catch pits).

· Prepare reports on the task requirements, strategies and inspection for assigned project.

· Ensure completion, accuracy and compliance of reports to standard engineering norms.

· Inspect road sites and make necessary investigations.

· Assist and supervise in finalizing designs and their incorporation into a project.

· Estimate quantity of resources and equipment needed for project.

· Assign tasks to the team and oversee their performance.

· Participate in multi-discipline projects in coordination with other company staff.

Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities
