In this Land Freight Operations Leader position
- Coordinate import/ export plans and processes to optimize service and performance
- Coach and guide the team for execution of day-to-day tasks and activities and meet work schedules and targets
- Coordinate import/ export operations and transactional operations in the receiving area such as delivery arrangement, planning and follow-up of shipment
- Prepare/ confirm transport order to ensure delivery of the shipment to the final customer
- Conduct booking and booking optimization according to internal guidelines as defined by product team
- Draft, monitor and distribute all required Import documents to counterparts such as carrier, consignee, supplier, etc. complying with regulations and internal procedures
- Check responses from counterparts and finalize validation of required documents
- Verify shipment status in the import area, observe issues to identify any incidents and provide resolutions
- Support customer service in the incident and exception management resolution
- Execute IT systems related tasks to ascertain and provide updated information on shipment
- Observe supplier performance issues and suggest solutions to improve performance, when required
- Build relationships with key suppliers and other internal functions such as capacity management, OCC, sales, customer service, etc.
- Highlight issues and opportunities, and execute better practices and quality standards for import/ export focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency

Your day-to-day:
- Responsible for correct operation of physical plant and all engineering facilities of entire property during shifts in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintenance program and operation schedule.
- Responsible during shift as Engineering Supervisor for the Fire fighting squadron with all firefighting equipment throughout the Property according to the Safety and Fire fighting Policy and Procedures.
- Responsible for keeping accurate operating logs according to established policy and procedures.
- Responsible for correct execution of established maintenance program for his section
- Responsible for and do all necessary repairs in his section ensuring maximum utilization and minimum breakdowns of assigned equipment.
- Responsible for preparing work schedules of assigned personnel
- Is responsible for distribute of repair and maintenance work in his section
- Is responsible for writing on backside of work order, assumed reason for breakdowns/replacements.
- Is responsible for preparing monthly production and consumption report for his action.
- Whenever it is not possible to gain entry to an area to affect works, he should immediately notify the Duty Manager and/or Executive Housekeeper
- In the event of any equipment giving trouble which may affect the comfort of the guest, the Duty Manager and U.M. Engineer/Asst. Chief Engineer must be notified immediately
- Effectively communicate and market aspects of the hotels that are sustainable or "green" and use information to gain new business opportunities.
- If it is not possible to raise or lower the temperature in any guestroom to meet the guest, the Duty Manager and / or Assistant Chief Engineer should be notified immediately.
What we need from you:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a hotel or commercial building maintenance environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems:HVAC,electrical,plumbing,and mechanical.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints,schematics,and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
