• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, filling holes, and cracking.
• Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes to various surfaces including walls, doors, trim, and furniture.
• Apply primers and sealers to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
• Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect fixtures and areas not being painted.
• Utilize brushes, rollers, and spray guns effectively and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain all tools and equipment after use.
• Ensure a neat and tidy worksite, adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members and follow project schedules.

• Experience: 6-8 years of professional painting experience.
• Residency: Must be a current resident of Qatar (In-country hire only).
• Knowledge: Proven knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and material mixing.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work at heights. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to kg).
• Attention to Detail: A strong focus on quality and cleanliness.
• Reliability: Punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Language: Basic English or Arabic communication skills are required.

• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, and burning.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate materials for protection during painting and post signs.
• Clean up and store paint and tools properly.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify paint, stain, or varnish colors.
• Maintain physical activity, including standing, walking, and movement throughout shifts.
• Communicate effectively with guests, management, and colleagues.
• Participate in preventive maintenance programs for building equipment and rooms.
• Support the Chief Engineer and work with the Engineering team for daily maintenance tasks.

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Painter in a 4/5-star hotel.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

We are looking for an experienced Painter to work in Doha, Qatar with a salary of 1200. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in painting and should be comfortable working with foreign colleagues and customers.

The painter should have a good understanding of color theory and the ability to mix the appropriate colors for each project. The candidate must be able to use different types of paint brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply various types of paints on different surfaces. The painter should also be able to prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning and taping off areas that need protection from paint.

The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. The position requires an eye for detail, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and complete projects within given deadlines.
