T o dispense prescription and over the counter medication to customers or health professionals. They also assemble medicines for prescriptions and provide information about medications.
Job Responsibilities 1- Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
- Resolve issues when they arise (e.g., rejected insurance claims).
- Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
- Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
- Record medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with the standard regulations.
- Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the pharmacist for medical information.
- Count prescription medication, filling prescriptions, and typing and attaching medication labels.
- Provide input into the development and implementation of the pharmacy department’s policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to support an efficient and effective operation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE&E and QM policies, procedures, and controls across the pharmacy department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service standards and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Strong Knowledge of the Healthcare-Pharmacy industry
• A pharmacy technician certification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to use a computer for day-to-day tasks.
• Basic math skills for counting medications.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in Pharmacy(required)
