Canonical is seeking a Security Risk Management Specialist to lead security risk assessments, modelling, and risk management practices. In security risk management we aim to combine industry best practice with innovation in how we perform security risk assessments and modelling. The security risk management team is the primary owner of the strategy and practices for identifying, tracking, and reducing security risk across Canonical's products, services, and operations.
To support this, we apply industry best practices with threat information to promote risk identification, quantification, impact analysis, and modelling to drive decision making. In this role you will help establish and execute a broad strategic vision for the security risk program at Canonical. You will work within the team and cross-functionally with other teams across the organisation. The team contributes requirements for Canonical product security, improving the resilience of Ubuntu customers and users against cyber threats. The team also collaborates with Organisational Learning and Development to develop playbooks and facilitate security training across Canonical.
The security risk management team's mission is not only to secure Canonical, but also to contribute to the security of the wider open source ecosystem. They might share knowledge through public presentations and industry events, and share threat intelligence with the wider community or represent Canonical in sector-specific governance bodies.
Responsibilities- Define Canonical's security risk management standards and playbooks
- Analyse and improve Canonical's security risk practices
- Evaluate, select and implement new security requirements, tools and practices
- Grow the presence and thought leadership of Canonical security risk management practice
- Develop Canonical security risk learning and development materials
- Work with Security leadership to present information and influence change
- Participate in developing key risk indicators, provide inputs to the development of key control indicators, and key performance indicators for various programs
- Apply statistical models to risk frameworks (such as FAIR, sensitivity analysis, and others)
- Participate in risk management, decision-making, and collaborative discussions
- Lead quantified risk assessments and understand the value of qualitative data for improvements to quality and engineering processes
- Interpret internal or external cyber security risk analyses in business terms and recommend a responsible course of action
- Develop templates and materials to help with self-service risk management actions
- Monitor and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of risk management processes
- Launch campaigns to perform security assessments and help mitigate security risks across the company
- Build evaluation methods and performance indicators to measure efficiency of security functions and capabilities
- An exceptional academic track record
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
- Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
- Deep personal motivation to be at the forefront of technology security
- Leadership and management ability
- Excellent business English writing and presentation skills
- Problem-solver with excellent communication skills, a deep technical understanding of security assessments and risk management
- Expertise in threat modelling and risk management frameworks
- Broad knowledge of how to operationalize the management of security risk
- Experience in Secure Development Lifecycle and Security by Design methodology

In this role, you will be providing 24X7 IT Support and assistance to various physical security systems installed across Qatar Airways Group and Subsidiary Companies. You will be coordinating with different stakeholders for Physical security system technical evaluation and product finalization in QR Outstation offices.
You will be responsible for assisting the team in preparation of RFI, RFQ, RFT documents and coordinate with Procurement for Purchase Order creation and release. You will be coordinating with vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure services are in line with agreed SLA.
In addition, you will be responsible for Asset and inventory management for all physical security systems.

- 24*7 on call support for various Physical security systems installed across various facilities and subsidiaries.
- Preparation of Physical security system technical evaluation and product finalization in QR Outstation offices.
- Coordinate and support preparation of RFI, UMP, RFQ, RFT and BPA documents in coordination with procurement.
- Coordination with procurement for PR & LPO process.
- Assist in preparing and updating Asset and inventory management for all physical security systems.
- Coordination with suppliers for preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure service are in line with agreed SLA.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**
- To be successful in the role you must hold a Bachelor's degree with minimum 4 years of experience in physical security system domain. You must be proficient in CCTV design principles, product selection and bill of quantity preparations.
- You must have hands on experience in working with various security related products and video management system platforms currently available in the market. Familiarization of current market trends and technology pertaining to security products is expected. Strong interpersonal and communication skills including analytical abilities is required.
- Must have customer facing experience with good English written and verbal skills.
- Must handle multiple tasks at one time and work successfully as part of a team, while being under pressure.
- Must work in varied hours / days based on business needs with process-oriented approach to address issues in hand.
