Job Purpose
The role is responsible to support the Head of Plant Productivity in carrying out the following technical services:
- Provide daily support to Operations about Production Budgeting, Control and Optimization, Energy, Catalyst and Chemicals Management.
- Support the Analysis of Production Loss Events and the Root Cause Analysis work processes.
The ultimate objective is to enable Operations to avoid reoccurrence of production losses and maximize production profit. The role coordinates with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations, including liaison with Plants, Stores, Purchase, Laboratory, and Environmental sections. The position also emphasizes operational problem solving through analytical and innovative approaches, providing technical support to the production department.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitoring plant performance (process parameters, catalyst/equipment/energy performance, environmental emissions) and supporting production loss accounting.
- Problem analysis & troubleshooting.
- Engineering activities such as proposing new projects, reviewing ongoing modifications, and participating in MOC and HAZOP studies.
- Supporting updates of engineering documents like P&ID, trip logics, and operating procedures.
- Assisting in preparing production, catalyst, and chemicals budgeting.
- Participating in major shutdown activities.
- Performing on-call duties and emergency response as a relief team member.
- Ensuring systematic liaison with HSEQ on environmental reporting, GHG accounting, LDAR monitoring, and sustainability compliance.
- Managing the Production Information Management System (PIMS) and ensuring system reliability.
- Reporting on production metrics, budget variances, KPIs, and other operational reports.
- Developing and implementing SAP Production Planning modules and interfaces.

- Coordinate with other Discipline Lead Engineers and Designers to ensure timely receipt of necessary design inputs
- Review and approve requisitions, technical quotation evaluations, and queries, compiled bid tabulations and recommendations, and purchase requisitions; and coordinate with Procurement to expedite vendor documents as required
- Review comments from Customers & other agencies on documents and drawings produced by the team and resolve and give guidance on their update and incorporation
- Assist the Discipline manager in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and manpower planning
- Anticipate project engineering needs and plan accordingly
