Location: Qatar
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team for the operator compression project, covering both greenfield and brownfield scopes. This is a leadership role within the engineering discipline, responsible for guiding and overseeing process engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle from design to delivery.
You will work closely with EPC contractors, internal stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As the Process Engineering Lead, you will:
- Lead and advise on all process engineering matters across assigned EPC scopes.
- Monitor and support the delivery of process engineering documents and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, including simulations, calculations, and technical reports.
- Conduct technical studies and develop Basis of Design, adequacy assessments, and other engineering documentation.
- Plan and schedule process engineering deliverables to support efficient project execution.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and align with the Engineering Manager on project needs and objectives.
- Participate in design workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and ensure recommendations are implemented.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to manage technical deviations and ensure compliance with company specifications.
- Work across disciplines , including mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and more, to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Capture and apply lessons learned from previous projects to improve current project outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering .
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas process engineering.
- Strong background in offshore projects , including both greenfield and brownfield scopes.
- Proven experience working with Tier-1 EPC Contractors on large-scale offshore platforms.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Deep understanding of process engineering design, standards, and safety criteria.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and communication abilities.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
- Willingness to travel as required.
