Job Title: Mechanical Technician – Facility Management

Location: Dubail, Qatar

Salary: QAR 2,500 (All Inclusive Package)

Contract Duration: 2 Months (Extendable)

Working Days: Saturday to Thursday

Working Hours: 9 Hours per day (including lunch break)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician with 8 years of experience in facility management. The role requires hands-on expertise in HVAC, pumps, piping, motors, AC, DC, LV systems, and other mechanical and facility-related equipment. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain mechanical systems and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, pumps, piping, motors, and related assets.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical systems to reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality regulations.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain efficient facility operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in facility management and mechanical maintenance.
• Practical expertise in HVAC, pumps, piping, motors, and related facility systems.
• Familiarity with AC, DC, and LV systems will be an added advantage.
• Gulf region experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Role & responsibilities

He will report to the Foreman   maintenance and shall support to maintenance team for routine, preventive, predictive and break down maintenance of various equipment available at Hazardous waste treatment facility (HWTC or TSDF). He shall work with team for executing approved a maintenance program and attend breakdown as instructed at Hazardous waste treatment facility (HWTC or TSDF). By implementation of Qatar Energy approved maintenance program, he shall ensure that equipment availability and attend work order within compliance of HSE requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

5 years experience in equipment maintenance.

• Preparing and assembling the mechanic equipment in accordance to drawings, parts lists, manuals and configurations provided by Tool Customizer
• Visual checking of all mechanic modules
• Setting tool parameters
• Repairing equipment according to given instructions
• Checking all equipment for completeness and correct function, in order to ensure that the equipment fulfill the job requirements as specified
• Documenting assembled equipment in the Company's software databases, and reporting documentation problems
• Providing the required test reports and other documentation
• Supporting site personnel in mechanic matters
