Position: Senior Process Technician
1. Principal Accountabilities
- Collect drawings, documents, and operating data required for MOCs (Management of Change) or technical change requests, feasibility studies, and FEED studies.
- Assist process engineers by collecting operational data to support process studies aimed at improving GAS operations.
- Accompany consultants during site survey visits.
- Draft drawings and minutes of meetings with consultants/contractors.
- Attend PSSR/RFSU meetings, participate in punch listing, process safety walkthroughs, and other assigned project activities with the project team.
- Support the division during performance tests for new installations/modifications.
- Provide assistance during TA (Turnaround) & SD (Shutdown) activities.
- Support and coordinate with associates during their site visits.
2. Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Chemical/Process Engineering.
- Experience:
- Minimum six (6) years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in Gas Processing (NGL). Experience in the MENA region is an advantage.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with proficiency in MS 365 applications.
- Hands-on experience with industrial SAP modules is preferred.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and follow the commissioning procedure and drawing.
- Ensure complete adherence to the Permit to Work system and other safety requirements.
- Perform system walkdowns and assist in identifying any issues/problems in the system.
- Perform the leak testing, nitrogen purging, inerting and drying activities.
- Assist in specialized activities like catalyst loading, conditioning under the supervision of the vendor.
- Support for preparation of Leak Test Packs, mark-ups, red-line mark-ups, etc.
- Support the Commissioning Engineer in filling the Inspection Test Report (ITR) for the commissioning activities.
- Support the Subsystem Walk downs, test (SAT) and commissioning activities identified for the systems / sub- systems.
- Comply with CONTRACTOR/COMPANY HSE requirements, to achieve a level of zero harm, accidents, or injuries and no defect or unwanted discharge nor leaks.
- Ensuring that safety aspects of work are followed in accordance with the overall
- Project HSE Plan.
- Supporting in clearing punch list items from FAT and commissioning phase.
- Complete where applicable associated pre-commissioning / commissioning certification in accordance with the requirements of the project Completions Management System and associated procedures
- Collect and label process samples for laboratory.
- Monitor process parameters and fill the Log sheets during the commissioning phase
- Perform the Mechanical Run Test, Operation Test for pumps and air fin fan coolers.
- Update the Commissioning Foreman with daily updates and support for the preparation of the Daily Report.
- Assist the company in performing the plant start-up and feed cut in.
- Assist the COMPANY field operators during the performance test
Required Qualifications:
Diploma/ITI in Chemical/Process Engineering or B.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) or equivalent diploma from recognized Universities
Minimum Seven (7) years' experience in refinery/petrochemical/chemical commissioning with at least 3 years in Oil and Gas sector.
Safety certificates including PTW, confined space, H2S awareness, gas testing, lifting operations, etc.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrable experience with current and relevant experience in all aspects of Mechanical equipment / systems pre-commissioning / commissioning within the O&G or related Industry.
- Ability to demonstrate good understanding of risks associated with working in Hazardous Areas.
- Good knowledge of O&G related QHSE safe working practices and procedures.
- Experience in commissioning compressors, pumps and turbines.
- Experience in catalyst loading, conditioning.
- Knowledge of Completions process and the ability to understand / complete related check-sheets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR1.00 - QAR2.00 per month
