We are seeking a Transport Research Market Specialist as part of DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, Qatar Branch. This role involves analyzing trends, market dynamics, and user behavior related to the transport and mobility sector. The position is based in Doha, Qatar, offering exciting challenges and opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze trends, market dynamics, and user behavior in the transport and mobility sector.
- Conduct research, compile data, and generate insights to support transportation policies, infrastructure investments, and business strategies.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative research on transportation trends, emerging mobility solutions, and market demands across passenger and freight sectors.
- Design and implement surveys, focus groups, and traffic studies; analyze data using statistical tools to assess mobility patterns and user preferences.
- Monitor and forecast demand for transport modes such as public transit, shared mobility, electric vehicles, and logistics in various contexts.
- Collaborate with transport authorities, operators, private sector actors, and communities to gather data and validate assumptions.

- Stay updated on developments in smart mobility, ITS, micromobility, electrification, and decarbonization of transport.
- Analyze transport systems and market models from other cities/countries to inform local innovation and adaptation.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Economics, Urban Studies, Data Science, Market Research, or related fields.
- Membership in relevant professional institutions and licensure are preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in transportation market analysis, segmentation, trends, and demand forecasting, preferably with transport authorities, consultancies, or international organizations.
- Strong analytical skills and comprehensive understanding of transportation systems, user trends, and market forces.
- Familiarity with demand forecasting models, data visualization tools, and survey management.
- Knowledge of sustainable mobility, low-emission systems, and green logistics.
- Understanding of global mobility trends like MaaS, electrification, and autonomous vehicles.
- GCC experience is preferred.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, and analytical tools such as R, Python, SQL, and GIS software (e.g., VISUM, TransCAD, Emme).
- Driving license required for site visits and meetings.

- High School, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum of 5+ years of experience of entertainment, content and media integration systems.
- Good understanding of content licensing pricing structure and operational costs and Experience managing digital asset libraries or content repositories
- Familiarity with digital content delivery systems, inflight entertainment platforms, and related technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic
- Strong written reporting, attention to detail and communication skills.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and visualization tools such as Power BI, or any related software.

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to be part of our Product Development & Design Division as IFE Entertainment Development Manager in Doha.
As the
IFE Entertainment Development Manager , you will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the development and delivery of engaging in-flight entertainment experiences. Working under the guidance of senior leadership and you will be executing the in-flight entertainment strategy and contributing towards maintaining a diverse and appealing content offering. You will lead the selection and acquisition of content, and supports managing the relationships with content providers, streaming platforms, production companies, and technology vendors to enrich the entertainment portfolio.
Some of the tasks include the following: Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with Qatar Airways' brand and target audience demographics. This includes identifying trends, analyzing competitor offerings, and forecasting future content needs. Cultivate and maintain relationships with content providers, studios, distributors, and licensing agencies to secure high-quality and diverse entertainment options. Lead in the curation, selection and acquisition of entertainment content, ensuring they meets the standards of quality, diversity, and relevance. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously refresh and expand the content library. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate content delivery systems seamlessly into the inflight entertainment platform. Leverage technology solutions to enhance the passenger experience and streamline content management processes Utilize data analytics and passenger feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of content offerings. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize viewer engagement, satisfaction, and revenue generation. Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, copyright laws, and industry regulations governing the distribution of entertainment content. Stay informed about changes in regulations and proactively address any compliance issues. Perform other department related duties as directed by Line Manager or Head of Department.
