The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Production Planning Engineers to join a major upstream operator in Qatar. This role is responsible for executing the Upstream Integrated Gas Volume and Activities Plan (UGP/IAP), ensuring uninterrupted delivery of feed-gas from wells and reservoirs to LNG trains. The position is highly collaborative, involving close work with operations, drilling, and reservoir teams to support production optimisation and development planning across offshore and onshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Coordination

• Develop and execute the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) and Upstream Gas Plan (UGP)

• Coordinate well testing and water injection programmes with operations and reservoir teams

• Maintain system network performance and well performance models

• Monitor reservoir and facility performance against defined production boundaries

Production Surveillance and Optimisation

Executing work to a high quality & auditable standard that is consistent with contract work scope, statutory & code requirements, Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures, design parameters, site survey input, Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), stress inputs and vendor data. This job, and subordinates, perform repair, installation, & modification activities.

11. Raise Subcontractor Request for subcon manpower if required. Collect the project / vessel specs from the commercial department and assist Piping Manager to assign the piping engineer for the project. Allocate the manpower for the vessels as per the project work scope.

12. Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

13. Review the section Work Instructions (WI), Risk Assessment (RA) to cover all the piping activities. Closely follow-up the project in charges for the vessel documentation (SI / Technical Query Report / Work Completion Form / Lesson learnt & Project Post Mortem) after completion of vessels.

14. Foster an engaging culture of safe and productive work through role modelling N-KOM's values.

15. Prepare fit for purpose work Permits & Risk Assessments for the identification, control and / or mitigation of workplace risk.

16. Review and update the section Risk Assessments / Environmental Aspects & Impacts as per the latest safe practice and get approval from piping manager.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge / Experience
• 8 years' experience in subsurface area, well production, optimization and completions in the oil and/or gas industry including 4 years' experience in well stimulation modelling, optimization, job execution and decision making. 3-4 years of experience in CTU and bullhead stimulation is preferred.
• Knowledge of stimulation and diverter fluids, its HSE aspect and properties, project planning and execution.
• Contribute to stimulation technology development and trials with respect to fluid selection, placement methodology and practical application in the field. Review and suggest appropriate petroleum engineering tools/programs to perform stimulation design and well development/ performance related engineering work.
• Perform designs with acid and diverter for wells in timely manner using stimulation modelling tools and applications. Knowledge of Kinetix Matrix stimulation modelling program will be a plus.
• Provide support in real time decision making during execution of stimulations on wells.
• Analyze performance of wells post stimulation. Suggest optimization and improvement in stim design using rig based flow back/ stim PLT data interpretations and capture lessons learnt
• Assess production performance for Well/Platform/Asset for development/re-development projects including monitoring, measurement, sampling and analysis requirement
