**Primary purpose of job**
Primary Purpose of the Job

Provide complete project management services for execution of major capital project for New NGL plant in Mesaieed. The

Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary team and will manage all aspects and phases of the project from initiation to

commissioning and handover. He will ensure successful delivery of the project on time, quality, within budget in a safe

manner and in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and standards.

**Experience & Skills**
A minimum of Twenty (20) years relevant experience in engineering, project management and execution of oil & gas

projects preferably delivery of NGL plant.

Experience managing projects and broader multidisciplinary teams as the client/owner representative, preferably with an

IOC/NOC.

Experience of LNG/NGL/refinery projects involving licensed technologies

Experience managing projects as the client/owner, preferably with an IOC.

Must have previous client experience executing projects in the Middle East.

Can demonstrate a “skilled” practitioner level in the following proficiencies: Manage Project Initiation Activities, Manage

Feasibility Studies, Manage Concept Optimization Activities, Manage Engineering Definition Activities, Coordinate

Operational Requirements and philosophies into the Project, Manage Construction Activities, Manage Operational

Readiness and Assurance Process including Commissioning and Start-up, Handover and Close Out the project, Set up and

Manage Project Teams, Develop Project Execution Strategies and Plans, Management of Change (MOC), Manage and

Communicate Project Performance, Implement Lessons learnt & Participate in Audits and Reviews, Understand and

Manage the Schedule and Resource the Plan, Develop WBS Schedule with Planning Department, Manage Project Cost

and Budget, Develop WBS / CBS with Cost Department, Support and Manage Cost Estimate Development and

communication, Manage Contracts including Changes and Variations, Understand and Manage GCOC's, Provide

Leadership in HSE Management.

Can demonstrate a “mastery” practitioner level in the following proficiencies: Manage Project Interfaces, Identify and

Manage Project Risks, Manage Contractor Claims and Resolution, Demonstrate Empowering and Inspirational Leadership,

Demonstrate Ethics, Compliance and Professionalism.

Effective communication and team building skills including report writing, presentations and management of meetings.

**Education**
1. Degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University; higher degree would be advantageous.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the project management of strategic projects from the beginning to the end of their life cycle by monitoring and tracking tasks and activities, prioritizing actions and project plans, ensuring those are kept up to date at all times.

The key accountabilities for the role are:

- Lead project management team and closely work with internal and external stakeholders on relevant projects.
- Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with key partner airlines by establishing a close coordination, tracking projects and follow up to ensure that partnerships create value to Qatar Airways.
- Work closely with the respective stakeholders to support in the oversight of all projects from kick off to delivery.
- Provide assistance in budget preparation and monitoring of expenditures so that all projects are managed within the assigned budget.
- Provide technical and logístical support to VP Airline Partnerships, VP FP&S, project managers or other relevant parties involved in the projects.
- Lead the monitoring of progress of the projects and provide periodic updates to VP Airline Partnerships, VP FP&S, and Project Managers on the agreed timelines.
- Ensures proper and detailed project management documentation is in place, including projects plans, design, projects briefs, performance and development criteria, change requests, resources updates, and specifications changes and project related dependencies.
- Ensure proper presentation of business cases, project briefs and related information to relevant stakeholders by ensuring that objectives are properly documented and followed, in order to maintain project timelines and requirements.
- Coordinate to manage aircraft wet-lease project from and to Qatar Airways including steering of all internal coordination and project management as well as being the focal point to the third party airline involved.
- Manages strategic partnership and investment projects and acts as focal point of such projects on behalf of the VP Airline Partnerships and VP FP&S.
- Oversees the preparation of administration related reports and analysis, taking a lead role in setting and/or improving policies and procedures, communicating and clarifying company policies and resolving admin related cases with Finance, Contracts, Legal departments.
- Provides business documentation support, including report writing, presentation creation and spreadsheet preparation.
- Identify additional cooperation areas jointly by closely working with internal and external partners to maximize benefit to both parties.
- Conducts site visits, meets various stakeholders for project coordination to assess Project feasibility.
- Acts as first point of contact and provides key liaison with the main stakeholders within the business and externally to the Group in relation to all assigned projects.
- Continuously improve and oversee existing admin processes and information systems, to ensure streamlined and efficient processes and systems are in place to support realization of projects within VP Airline Partnerships and VP FP&S office.
- Resolves complex project/administrative problems independently but ensures that the structure, standards, processes and tools as defined by the company are in place and maintained.

  • Experience must include all Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction of similar large-scale sewerage, surface, and ground water networks projects.
  • Previous experience in managing similar open cut and micro tunneling sewerage, surface & ground water networks under Design & Build projects undertaken within the city.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical and financial proposals, evaluation, constructability, technology deployment, and solving technical problems during construction.
  • Strong leadership qualities to lead a large project management team of interdisciplinary professionals.
  • Knowledge and ability to understand, lead, and make appropriate decisions to progress the work mentioned in each staff requirement responsibility.
  • Membership of an accredited Project Management Institution is an advantage.
  • Chartered Engineer status in the United Kingdom or any other recognized professional institution.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities to lead and motivate a large team of multi-discipline technical and professional supervision staff in a consultant role within a Design Build project environment.
  • Computer skills are mandatory.
