Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including material, work, and testing inspections in the fabrication yard, material submissions, and working drawings from contractor and processing documentation as required. Check and ensure that all construction works are completed in accordance with approved standards and consistent with contract specifications. Coordinate the MCC walk-through, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities with contractors, vendors, and end-users Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments. Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommends corrective actions. Monitor and control work permits to ensure that contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits. Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to offshore sites following the contract award. Interact and interface with other contractors, projects, and departments regularly to identify and resolve all construction-related matters especially liaison with Production and Maintenance departments. Requirements Higher Diploma (HND), Diploma in Diploma in Instrumentation and/or Electrical and/or Mechanical from a recognized University with extensive commissioning experience in Oil & Gas projects. - Provides first line Instrument Construction expertise in the implementation of modifications or additions to existing Control Facilities.

About the Opportunity: An exciting site-based opportunity to work with a major operating company on one of the largest onshore oil and gas developments in the region. We’re seeking experienced construction professionals with deep mechanical and piping expertise to take a lead role in overseeing and coordinating major construction activities in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the day-to-day site construction activities in line with HSE policies and project goals.
Act as the on-site HSE leader and ensure all contractor works are executed safely.
Coordinate with the main contractor during mechanical/piping works execution and oversee the integration of works in live plant environments.
Review technical documentation including drawings, method statements, material requests, and risk assessments.
Attend and sign off on inspections and tests as per ITPs, and verify material deliveries and constructability.
Monitor and support site progress, material arrivals, and contractor performance, proposing improvements where needed.
Oversee lifting operations and ensure crane studies and plans are effectively managed (Approved Lifting Supervisor certificate is a plus).

12–15 years’ experience in mechanical and piping construction within oil and gas sector, with direct exposure to:
Greenfield construction projects
Brownfield/live plant operations
Tie-in work and system integration
LOTO and work permit systems
Material and pressure testing, fabrication and erection of various piping systems (carbon steel, stainless/alloy, GRE/GRV etc.)
At least 10 years in EPIC contractor roles as Construction Supervisor or Superintendent.
Minimum 5 years in client-side or PMC supervisory positions preferred.
Strong command of international standards and codes (ASME, ANSI, ISO, API, NFPA, etc.).
Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
Skilled in the use of MS Office and discipline-relevant engineering software.
Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication and team coordination skills.
Prior experience in Qatar or other GCC industrial zones is highly desirable.
