Planning
- Provides support to the Project Engineers and/or Construction Coordinators with the preparation of construction plans.
- Inputs to the Level 4 schedule inclusive of the mobilization and demobilization of all offshore personnel, materials and equipment.
- Provides input and participates as required in 5 year to 4 month campaign planning cycle including development of work lists.
- Ensures that manpower and accommodation requirements (labor, supervision, contractors and equipment specialists) are forecast and implemented.
Execution
- Conducts daily safety tours, tool box talk audits and ensures all safety issues are reported through site management in a timely manner.
- To manage the Permit To Works.
- Personally leads offshore Construction Teams to ensure safe and timely implementation and execution.

- Relevant certifications or training in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and construction practices.

- BSc in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University in relevant engineering Discipline with extensive construction-related experience. Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution

Key Responsibilities- Acts as a safety leader, ensuring EPIC Contractor’s work in compliance to our client's Life Saving Rules and all safety and environmental regulations of our client and the State of Qatar.
- Reporting to the Discipline Construction Lead/Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends and recommendation for improvement.
- Assist functional supervisor in review and / or approval of Construction documentation, including Method Statements, JHAs, MARs etc., and attend HSE Walkthroughs.
- Supervise all EPIC contractors piping (Process and Utility piping system with various material pipe classes for above ground & underground piped services) installation activities are based on approved the engineering documentation and project schedule during the execution of construction activities.
- Attend Requests for Inspections (RFIs) as per approved ITPs, including Material Receiving Inspections in coordination with Reconstruction Supervisor, and sign off relevant inspection and test reports / RFIs.
- Ensuring the quality of manufacturing and erection works, dimensional accuracy and , accessory and inline items installed in the correct and material design specification.
- Lead the EPIC construction contractor(s) on all mechanical aspects of the piping works.
- Supervise with EPIC contractor during execution of the piping installation, line check, punch clearing, hydrotest and re-instatement at site.

- Sign work permits on behalf of our client and to ensure that contractor’s compliance with work permits.
- Participate in development of as-built drawings/documentation.
- Accountable for supervising contractor’s work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems and preventing accidents occurring because of negligence, by enforcing our client's safety standards on the work site.
- Liaise and report with the QA/QC Inspector on quality related matters.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized University.
- Preferably having formal training in QA/QC functional aspects.

- Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years overall experience in piping erection (UG & AG), pressure testing, mechanical completion and construction of oil and gas facilities.

- Piping inspection and rotating equipment experience is an advantage, and inspection coordination experience in the.
- Extensive knowledge of international and industry specific piping codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI B31.3 & B31.1, SHELL DEP’s, etc. Piping, Welding / NDT inspector certificates (AWS / ASNT / CSWIP / API) would be an advantage.
- Extensive experience in pipe coating systems and procedures, incl painting, galvanizing, wrapping, insulation, etc. BGAS certification would be an advantage.
- Extensive experience in fabrication pipe spooling, pipe supports and erection of carbon steel, stainless/alloy steel, uPVC and GRE/GRV piping systems, incl pressure testing, pre-commissioning and mechanical completion inspections, etc.
- Excellent written and oral English skills. Able to read piping drawings, P&ID’s and manufacturer’s instructions, etc.
- The candidate shall have specific stated experiences in;
- o Greenfield/new build construction sites,
- o Brownfield/live process plants,
- o Permits to work, incl Isolation & Lock Out/Tag Out of live services,
- o Tie-in to live facilities, including testing and integration to existing systems,
