Job Description
- Assisting construction personnel to identify problems and potential or actual nonconformances and to assist in proposing correction and corrective actions.
- Liaise with other Field Supervisors and contractors to be aware of planned and completed construction works to ensure civil/structural tests are planned and performed.

Civil / Structural QA/QC – Oil & Gas Position Summary We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector (Civil) to oversee civil and structural quality control activities on a major oil & gas construction project. The role ensures compliance with project requirements, international codes, and quality standards while supporting contractors, subcontractors, and project teams in a multi-disciplinary environment. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering. Formal training in QC/QMS; membership in a recognised professional institution preferred. ISO 9001 (or equivalent) certification in auditing. Experience
Minimum 10 years’ relevant QA/QC experience in civil/structural works, preferably in the GCC. At least 5 years directly in inspection and execution of construction activities. Previous experience as a client QA/QC inspector highly desirable. Strong knowledge of QC processes, testing requirements, and construction techniques (soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls, steel structures, masonry, finishes, roads, and asphalt). Familiarity with international standards: IBC, QCS, ACI, AISC, ASTM, etc. Key Responsibilities
Implement project-specific quality procedures and ensure compliance with standards and specifications. Coordinate inspection and testing requirements with contractors, suppliers, and third parties. Review and approve contractor QA/QC documentation, ITPs, quality plans, and test reports. Monitor civil/structural construction activities, including: Concrete casting, reinforcement, anchor bolts, grouting Steel structure erection, block works, soil works, excavation/backfill Finishes, plastering, road and asphalt works Witness laboratory and site tests, ensuring proper calibration of testing equipment. Perform inspections on delivered materials, verifying against purchase orders and certificates. Identify and document non-conformances; recommend and follow-up corrective actions. Assist in preparing quality documentation (method statements, ITPs, test records). Support Sr. QA/QC Engineer in audits of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and laboratories. Contribute to safety and environmental protection in line with project requirements.
