Description:
This role is responsible for the development of Self-service capabilities across the airline's digital channels to ensure the website continues to drive key digital KPIs. The role interacts with the various business teams in Guest Relations, Digital and Ecommerce to ensure that the priorities set by the business are collected in the form of requirements and are implemented successfully by the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Product Manager to deliver the product strategy, vision, and roadmap
- Manage the team backlog as part of Iteration Planning, including coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners. Responsible for accepting the final Iteration Plan
- Continuously improve the backlog with the team, ensure all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized
- Ensure the scrum team understands the required features and functionality to be delivered in each iteration
- Responsible for detailing features and user stories with acceptance criteria and acceptance tests
- Responsible to ensure business acceptance of features and user stories, this includes validating that the stories meet the acceptance criteria, persistent acceptance tests, and that they comply with the Definition of Done (DoD)
- Provide regular demos with the team ensuring the most critical aspects are shown and validated with the stakeholders
- Facilitate the iteration retrospectives and drive discussions on what can be improved to increase the velocity and quality
- Follow and partake in all the SAFe Agile product cadences including PO Sync, Sprint Planning and PI Planning representing the product area fully.
- Manage and keep up to date the team's backlog, product roadmap, program Kanban and all relevant artifacts to ensure the product development is communicated across leadership, business stakeholders and development team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience working in product development or as a Product Owner
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
- Certification in SAFe Product Owner or equivalent is desirable
- Experience with Agile development methodologies including SAFe, Scrum and Lean Portfolio Management
- Experience in handling transactional services on Amadeus and E-commerce manage my booking engine is desirable.
- Working experience in airline technology or operations with strong exposure to passenger services systems (PSS), reservations, ticketing, and revenue management.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Amadeus APIs and services, ensuring robust integration with internal and third-party airline systems.
- Strong experience in using JIRA and maintaining sprint backlog, epics, features, and user stories.
- Hands-on experience with Amadeus Web Services, ARD Web, ALTEA, and NDC APIs.
- Demonstrated success in defining, delivering, and launching products
- Technical and business operations knowledge with proven ability to drive solutions
- Experience defining vision and strategy for a technical product
- Strong ability to analyze data and drive feature development based on relevant data analytics
- Recognized as an active team player, with excellent communication and coordination skills as this role requires working with multiple teams across the organization

About the role:
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations – Library team as Flight Operations Librarian to be based in Doha, Qatar.
As a Flight Operations Librarian, you will be responsible for timely distribution of all Operational and Technical Publications, timely updates of operations data on in-house and on-board aircraft manuals as well as ensuring that all aircraft have the most current Manuals on board and updating the Library Management Database accordingly. You will also be responsible for weekly update of the EFB Laptops and Temporary iPads, thereby helping mainly on the safety of all flights by following a standard procedure for smooth flow of information.
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
- Provide daily support with revising and maintaining of the Technical Publication and Manufacturer manuals in the Aircraft Library to a current status.
- Prepare an updating plan as per flight schedule using the Total Operations System (TOPS).
- Update the Technical Documents in the Aircraft Library; maintain the revision cycles of manuals Aircraft manufacturer. Update each manual on board all QR and QE aircraft within five working days upon receipt of the revisions. Complete the update to all proposed changes to company manuals, and report any corrections identified on the revision for the modified manual.
- Prepare the Positioning and Ferry Documents as per request for New Aircraft Delivery and Positioning flight scheduled for maintenance.
- Maintain the Aircraft Library, the currency of all Company Aircraft manuals and frequent update on the Library Record Access Database System.
- Support the fleet new joiners for the QLOUD Devices (Company iPad) and provides them with a complete briefing on; Jeppesen Charts, Manuals on board, EFB types, and other policies and procedures that are to be strictly followed. Provide support to the Pilot's with the applications and general IT issues.
- Stipulate trouble shooting assistance for devices of the pilots and the crew for an enhanced service delivery, maintaining a reliable and secured operation.
- Update all Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Class 1, Class 2 and Temporary iPad on a weekly revision cycle, and to ensure that all aircraft have the updated EFB's on board before the departure.
- Provide support in case of EFB's reported inoperative; checking the device on board and to ensure that the EFB laptops and all the cables are well connected to the docking station, and always ready to proceed with the backup plan as per the MEL.
- Follow the Business Continuity plan in case of crisis; preparation of Destination Trip Kits according to OM Part C and extracted from Jeppesen website.

- Key contributor when it comes to DQ and QRH budgeting by showcasing a strong understanding of cost base, revenue streams and along with that, is responsible for key product development projects, essentially advising on design and module changes, engaging with the business to facilitate immediate project needs and simultaneously safeguard long-term goals of the division.
- Manage product executives, ensure all agreements are delivered to operations team and other relevant departments in a timely and accurate manner in line with plan.
- Oversee statistical analysis and product performance to ensure increased profitability along with recommendation of Senior Manager for in-house vs outsourced suppliers.
- Evaluate the teams’ objectives, procedures, practices and make appropriate changes, if required for the business.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of job-related experience.
- Excellent negotiation and contracts management experience with high level of commercial acumen.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication in English with excellent influencing capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of tour operations and with it, having comprehensive product knowledge of Qatar / GCC in particular to cater to Qatar Airways Groups business needs.
- Experienced in managing workflow by setting clear directions, delegating work and upskilling the team periodically.
- Ability to work with inter-departmental heads and / or teams’, in a face-paced working environment.
- Leadership experience in stakeholder management, is data driven with strong quantitative and analytical skills and having the ability to derive decisions from it.
