Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain corporate governance for emergency management covering mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery, and resilience. Ensure oil spill emergency preparedness complies with legislation, conventions, and standards. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in crisis management, business continuity, and risk mitigation. Evaluate and assure emergency response plans across all QP directorates and departments. Define competency requirements and training programs for emergency response teams. Monitor, assess, and report on emergency preparedness performance. Support development of recovery strategies and collaborate with business continuity teams. Lead technical reviews of mutual aid arrangements and corporate HSE audits.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Emergency Management. Minimum 15 years' experience in emergency management, fire safety, or occupational health & safety-preferably in oil, gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries. At least 10 years in a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity in the energy sector. Excellent English presentation, report writing, and Microsoft Office skills.
Key Competencies
Ability to interpret international codes, standards, and best practices. Strong stakeholder management with internal departments and external agencies. Skilled in developing and implementing standardized emergency response and training programs. Capable of independent technical evaluations and decision-making aligned with legislation and corporate policy.
