• Experience in inspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation and hook-up, and commissioning of oil and gas production facilities projects.
• Implement QA/QC activities including those of Subcontractors Works in accordance with approved QCP/ITPs and procedures, method statements and other Contract documents.
• Prepare and sign off applicable records for quality surveillance/inspections/tests.
• Ensure availability of appropriate version of applicable Work documents such as AFC drawings, specifications and international codes and standards.
• Provide sufficient feedback to Quality Manager/Engineer on day-to-day quality issues.

• Electrical Engineering Diploma, or suitable equivalent plus Trade Certificates in Electrical and/or Instrumentation.
• Minimum 8 years of working experience as inspection personnel for Oil & Gas projects, 5 years of which must be in the onshore Gas Facilities sector, preferably in LNG.
• Familiar with electrical and instrumentation specific codes and standards (i.e., IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, NEMA, NETA, ATEX/IECEX-60079, etc.).
• Experience in inspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation and hook-up, and commissioning of oil and gas production facilities projects.

Job Overview:

The Quality Inspector applies their conceptual knowledge of inspection, with guidance from colleagues and leadership, to solve straightforward inspection problems. They analyze possible solutions using standard procedures and build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The inspector understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations using technical experience, judgment, and precedents. Candidates should hold a basic engineering degree, with twelve (12) years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including six (6) years in offshore projects. Must possess valid CSWIP/PCN/BGAS or AWS Senior Welding Inspector Certificates, including ASNT Level II in NDTs, and ISO 9001 Auditor certification. Experience in oil and gas fabrication and onshore projects is required.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Determine product conformity to customer specifications through daily surveillances and ITP inspection points in accordance with the Project Quality Plan.
• Identify non-conformities for rectification and ensure final resolution.
• Assess product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity, documenting all inspection results and raising documentation for corrective actions when needed.
• Coordinate with Operations, Certifying Authorities, Clients, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractors to ensure conformity to project specifications.
• Proactively prevent problems by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel.
• Liaise with customer representatives to ensure product conformity and stage release for each activity within the Project Quality Plan/ITP.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• High school diploma or relevant degree.
• 5+ years of Quality Control or related discipline experience with a degree, or 8+ years with a diploma.
• Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office programs.

The Quality Control Inspector – Electrical is responsible for inspecting and verifying electrical components, installations, and systems to ensure compliance with technical specifications, standards, and safety regulations. This role involves conducting tests, measurements, and visual inspections to identify defects or non-conformities, documenting findings, and coordinating corrective actions with engineering and construction teams. In addition to on-site inspections, the inspector reviews quality control plans, monitors adherence to procedures, and supports audits to maintain continuous improvement. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of electrical codes and standards, and effective communication skills are essential to ensure reliable and safe electrical systems.

Overview:

We are seeking to hire a QC Inspector for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role; GCC experience is preferred.

Fluency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement the client’s management system relevant to your function.
2. Ensure safety for yourself and others, actively participating in all safety matters during construction.
3. Prevent environmental pollution related to the project.
4. Coordinate inspection and testing requirements on behalf of the client.

15. Assist Quality Engineers in inspecting and reviewing quality documents related to various construction activities.
16. Monitor the implementation of quality procedures and QA/QC activities.
17. Ensure all civil activities adhere to project requirements, with proper testing and documentation.
18. Witness site and laboratory tests related to civil works.
19. Check materials and equipment against specifications and certificates.
20. Reject non-compliant materials and conduct random dimensional checks.
21. Follow up on corrective actions for non-conformances.
22. Monitor trends in non-compliance and provide feedback on contractor performance.
23. Initiate surveillance and NCRs for approval.

Requirements:

1. Civil, Structural, or Architecture degree/diploma with experience in quality control in multidisciplinary construction environments.
2. Preferably with formal QC training and membership in recognized professional bodies.
3. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role; GCC experience is desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of QC practices and testing related to Oil & Gas, Tank Farms, Pipelines, or Petrochemical projects.
5. Ability to work effectively with contractors and colleagues in multicultural settings.

Primary Functions:

• Determine product conformity to customer specification through independent inspection and tests in accordance with the Project Quality Plan. Identify nonconformity for rectification and assure final resolution.


• Liaise with Production Supervisor, Senior Principal Certification Tech, Discipline Engineer, Project Engineer, Operations Engineer, Field Engineer, Certifying Authority, Discipline Technicians, Sr. Inspector, Customer.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Appraise product quality in accordance with the Project Quality Plan and Inspection & Test Plan and determine conformity and non-conformity. All inspection results need to be documented and if non conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action.


• Co-ordinate with Operations, Production Supervisor, Client, Job Sharing personnel and subcontractor assuring conformity to project requirements.


• Perform field inspections of fit up & welding in accordance with project requirements and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.


• Proactive approach in prevention of a nonconformance by interaction with respective departments


• Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of Quality System outlined in Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.


• Conduct surveillance audit during execution of the project as per applicable procedures and plans.


• Perform surveillance checks on welding consumable storage and handling


• Perform surveillance checks on material storage and preservation.


• Ensure progressive completion of inspection reports and certification packages


• Coordinate closely with client inspector closely for the inspection activities as per ITP requirements


• Ensure correct documentation as per the drawings shall be updated in the database system & review appropriately prior to sign/submission


• Reports generated manually shall be maintained properly


• QRR cards shall be reviewed/monitored for its effectiveness in respective areas for ongoing activities.


• Yard initiative for the reporting of good practices, observations, concerns, etc. shall be performed as per the agreed KPIs.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.


• AWS or CSWIP Qualification.


• Internal /External Auditor Qualification

Experience:

5+ years Quality control or related experience in Welding Inspection.
