Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Quality Controller who will be responsible for checking the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as the production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.
The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality service so that we can achieve long-term success.
Main Responsibilities
- Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle (from purchasing to customer delivery) to ensure they are efficient and comply with Food Safety & Quality standards.
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the concerned managers.
- Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as the number of defective products per day, kitchen inspection results, Hygiene & Sanitation Inspection, etc.
- Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and report any that doesn't meet the requirements.
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.)
- Conduct staff awareness training sessions on food Safety & quality
- Support the team to develop and implement a food safety & quality management system.
- Address customer complaints by conducting a thorough investigation and preparing a corrective action plan for non-conformities.
- Prepare and submit reports to the line manager.
Ideal Candidate
- Must have had a minimum of 3 years of previous proven experience as a quality controller, or any relevant role in the catering or hotel industry.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a Food Background (Food Technology/Food Science/Microbiology/Bio-Chemistry etc.)
- Must be HACCP certified with a Level 03 as a minimum requirement.
- Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills.
- Possesses a confident, firm, and pleasant personality that can work well with a team.
- Currently located in Qatar.
- Familiar with Qatar's rules and regulations as per the municipality/MOH.

- Ensure all laboratory operations and procedures comply with requirements outlined in ISO Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory quality management system (QMS) that aligns with ISO Maintain all international standard procedures used as reference for laboratory analysis, and ensure they are the latest updated versions.
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant industry standards and regulations such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and all other relevant systems depending on the laboratory focus. This includes staying up-to date with changes in regulations and implementing necessary changes.

- Communicate inter-department within QatarEnergy LNG for laboratory activities related to the quality system implementation. Performs the review of all laboratory activities according to quality management system to find if any improvements can be made.
- Ensure that the equipment's and other laboratory facilities meet the requirements of analysis and international standards and ensure that records in the LIMS are accountable and traceable for audit trail purposes.
- Lead annual laboratory management review to assess the effectiveness of the laboratory quality management system (LQMS) and make necessary improvements. This includes reviewing quality objectives, audit results, and customer feedback.
- Plan and conduct internal audit to assess the laboratory compliance with ISO 17025 standards and other customer requirements. Identify deficiencies and areas for improvement and corrective actions. Oversee internal audit processes, external assessments, proficiency testing programs, document control systems, competency assessment, training, and other quality processes.
- Prepare and coordinate external audits and assessment by accreditation and certification bodies. Ensure that the laboratory maintains its accreditation status and works toward maintain and renewing the laboratory's accreditation to ISO 17025 through compliance with accreditation body requirements. Analyze data, identify trends, develop reports with actionable insights and help management to achieve better results and compliance.
- Manage laboratory proficiency testing program and ensure that the laboratory consistently meets high quality standards and deliver accurate results. This includes program development, report evaluation and reporting nonconformities. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (Full-Time). Certified ISO 9001:2015 QMS Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent). Experience in quality management in EPIC / EPCM Projects with more focus in engineering phase (Study, FEED, Detail Engineering). Experience in process plants, particularly in Oil & Gas or petrochemical sectors, covering onshore and offshore. Proven ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines. Strong understanding of Quality Management principles and systems. Effective auditing, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lab Quality Specialist to oversee quality systems, regulatory compliance, and laboratory operations within an orthobiologics environment. The role ensures adherence to GMP and cleanroom regulations, manages quality control processes, and supports audits and accreditation readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SHE, and cleanroom regulations with focus on aseptic techniques
- Support the Quality Management System, including CAPA, deviations, OOS investigations, and documentation control
- Oversee quality control procedures, validate laboratory data, and monitor KPIs for cleanroom facilities
- Participate in internal and external audits, supplier evaluations, and accreditation processes
- Manage manufacturing and batch certification documentation in line with regulatory standards
- Perform root cause analysis, environmental monitoring, equipment checks, and calibration activities
- Provide quality oversight for sample processing, cell culture, freezing, and assay techniques
- Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory frameworks
Skills
- Strong knowledge of orthobiological laboratory methods, aseptic/cleanroom techniques, and GMP requirements
- Expertise in assay, cell maintenance, cell freezing, and laboratory quality procedures (CAPA, OOS, audits, documentation)
- Familiarity with quality management systems, regulatory standards, and accreditation processes
- Proficiency in laboratory compliance, environmental monitoring, and safety management
- Analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to solve problems effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support cross-functional laboratory operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology or a related field
- Valid medical license (mandatory)
- 5–7 years of laboratory experience, including 2–3 years in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in orthobiological labs, GMP compliance, and quality systems
- This is a 3-month contract role based in Qatar
- Candidates available forimmediate joining will be preferred
