We are seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of cold rooms, multi-deck display cases, freezer rooms, and related equipment for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on commercial refrigeration systems, including cold rooms, display cases, and ice machines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately.
• Repair and replace defective components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and control systems.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and brazing in accordance with EPA and company standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and perform effective repairs to minimize client downtime.
• Install new refrigeration equipment and components, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Complete detailed service reports, work orders, and timecards accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service, clearly explaining issues and repairs to clients.

• Provide accurate records and close-out reports of all completed work as per company requirements, as requested and guided by Foreman/Supervisor.
• Participate in troubleshooting of HVAC issues, as directed and guided by Foreman/Supervisor and issues timely reports.
• Review the Ducting & Instrument Diagram and Drawings (D&IDs,) loop drawings, hook-up drawings, datasheets, logic diagrams and other documents related to the HVAC systems.
• Participate in Regular Toolbox meeting with colleagues. Report all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents per company procedure and process.

• Completion of Secondary School education followed by vocational training program (TAFE).

• 3 years' experience as a technician in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.

• Extensive experience in the operation, maintenance and condition monitoring of HVAC equipment.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
• Computer literate with basic knowledge in MS Office software.

Overview:

Provide OM&R for HVAC/R systems and ICS base wide. OM&R shall include regular inspection, operational testing, and balancing, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC/R systems such as and not limited to: Chillers, air handlers, compressors, chilled water pumps, valve actuators, electronic dampers, water and air temperature sensors, water flow switches, air differential pressure switches, fan coil units, packaged air conditioners, Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units, and direct digital controls (DDC).
