Job Description
In addition to the inspection, testing and qualification, repair and maintenance of field tools, the R&M Specialist Liner Hanger role performs preventive & corrective maintenance on Liner Hanger equipment. The role performs these tasks using Company guidelines, technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices, and best practices to complete the scope of functions where required. As the senior R&M Specialist, you will lead and oversee these tasks carried out by other R&M employees.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate Liner Hanger tools
- Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition
- Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
- Assembles, installs, or repairs liner hanger equipment
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, callipers, micrometres, or other measuring instruments.
- Assists, performs, and may lead basic to complex troubleshooting, scheduled preventive maintenance and modifications on a wide range of mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment, including data acquisition systems & Wellbore Clean up to determine the cause of failure, performs corrective actions following documented Company policies & procedures against their level of training & competence
- Assists, performs, and may lead testing and calibration tasks of tools following documented policies & procedures against their level of training & competence
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in regard to equipment, procedures, and documentation
- Completes Work Orders, AIRTs, PFTs, Forms, Checklists, Repair Requests and ensures all relevant databases are maintained accurately
- Complies with the WO labour time log by accurately clocking in/Out of WO (Work Orders) Time tracking system
- Trouble shooting equipment issues, implementing corrective actions, and providing access to all relative R&M documented policies, procedures, work instructions, and technical manuals allowing the R&M team to complete their work effectively and efficiently
- Orders parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogues or approved suppliers according to Weatherford's guidelines and procedures
- Supports and complies with the LEAN initiatives and participates in the continuous efficiency improvement program of the facility.
- Estimates costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures
- Performs other duties and activities safely as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job
