Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative
Research & Development (R&D) Specialist
to join

. The R&D Specialist will be responsible for researching new technologies, developing innovative solutions, and supporting the company's growth through product and process improvements. This role requires creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to transform ideas into practical business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies, market trends, and competitor products.
  • Develop and test new products, services, or digital solutions aligned with company goals.
  • Improve existing processes, systems, and solutions for better efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the technical, design, and operations teams to implement innovations.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, project proposals, and technical reports.
  • Ensure all R&D activities comply with company standards, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide continuous recommendations for innovation and growth strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Innovation, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Research & Development, preferably in technology, digital solutions, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of market research methods and innovation strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Job Description

  1. Plan, develop, coordinate and implement assessment activities across the institution; perform direct assessment and assessment analysis; provide technical and professional guidance, consultation and support to departments regarding assessment plans, as appropriate. 2. Design and apply monitoring and evaluation tools and practices. 3. Define significant research and evaluation questions and support the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research methods such as surveys, case studies, key informant interviews and lead discussions through design of data collection tools and training data collectors. 4. Develop, plan, lead, and/or participate in educational, training and outreach activities, including program development and coordination of assessment related informational sessions. 5. Interpret assessment findings; analyze and comply comprehensive statistical and narrative data; and assist with the preparation of official assessment reports. 6. Data stewardship and dissemination including all activities required to ensure that digital research data are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) in the long term. 7. Participate in the preparation of institutional accreditation reporting, if and when required. 8. Contribute to clear, compelling, and methodologically robust reports, journal articles, policy briefs, presentations and other ways of making research, monitoring, and evaluation results available and accessible to university audience. 9. Assist faculty and staff with the preparation and submission of assessment forms and reports. 10. Support in the implementation and updates of DLOE strategic plan. 11. Collects and documents all the necessary data for reporting purposes. 12. Perform other tasks and duties that may be occasionally required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University. 13. Ensure confidentiality of information at all times. Demonstration of Abilities: 1. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, organizational members, and external bodies, as needed. 2. Demonstrate sensitivity in working with students and staff by showing respect for differences and the dignity of others. Qualifications Minimum: PhD degree in computer science, data science, information management, information systems, educational technologies or relevant field. Preferred: Post-graduate diplomas or certificates in relevant fields. Required Documents
