Holds a certificate in health and safety, or security management, or its equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma).
- At least 8 years of experience in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management on a project in the GCC countries Experience in safety audits and inspections and site activity monitoring.
- Ability to communicate with managers, staff, supply chain and stakeholders
- Full compliance with international standards and standards in the State of Qatar related to building maintenance (for example ISO 45001) and codes (for example NFPA)
- Good knowledge of developing, implementing and managing management systems for quality, risk, health, safety and the environment.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Health and Safety Engineer JOB:

- Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to make sure that they meet safety requirements
- Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment
- Evaluate the effectiveness of various industrial control mechanisms
- Ensure that buildings or products comply with health and safety regulations, especially after an inspection that required changes
- Install safety devices on machinery or direct the installation of these devices
- Review employee safety programs and recommend improvements

**Health and Safety Engineer** also investigate industrial accidents and injuries to determine the causes and to determine whether the incidents were avoidable or can be prevented in the future. Evaluate the corrections that were made to remedy violations found during health inspections.
