About the role
As a Cargo Safety Compliance Manager, you will lead the management safety standards across the cargo network, ensuring full compliance with regulations and internal frameworks. You will develop a cargo safety program to promote the importance of safety within the cargo business and ensure all stakeholders and staff are engaged in it. You will also implement and develop a freighter safety plan to ensure all future growth has consistency of safety standards and implementation across the network.
As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
- Liaise and manage with the GHAs and conduct audits at stations. Ensure GHA training is reviewed and meets QR requirements, to manage and release safety bulletins the cargo network.
- Ensure integration with the corporate safety team's strategy & objectives and full adherence to the company's Safety Management Systems standards and requirements.
- Develop risk assessment approach for key safety related matters including freighter special loads and standardize the procedures.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and reviewed on all occurrences set at station, regional or global level.
- Issue cargo safety alerts, provide inputs to the cargo newsletter, website and other communications as required.
- Delivery of safety initiatives and information to all the staff, implement procedural change to station for safety compliance.
- Perform other department duties related to this position as directed by the Head of the Department.

QualificationsAbout you
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with at least 7+ years' experience in safety, security and compliance management.
- Proven expertise in cargo safety, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- A thorough understanding of IATA/TACT regulations and familiarity with GSGHA agreement clauses.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills with the ability to design and implement structured safety programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and drive safety culture across the network.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the confidence to lead change in a complex, global environment.
