POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Engineer (SE) for MMEA / Qatar will be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers. As a Trend Micro product expert, you will guide customers and prospects in the selection and deployment of Trend Micro Next-Gen security solutions, take joint ownership with the Sales team in developing customer relationships, provide leadership in security architecture, and help influence customer's technical strategy with strong problem-solving skills. A Sales Engineer is a trusted advisor who develops an understanding of customer needs, risks, tolerance, technology gaps, and implementation strategies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the customer journey with the product and help customers navigate it smoothly.
  • Ensure customer success throughout engagement, onboarding, and product experience.
  • Build and train the sales organization; be an effective storyteller to help the sales team sell better.
  • Understand emerging cybersecurity ecosystems such as SOC services, CSP (cloud service providers), MSSPs, etc.
  • Leverage channel partners by upskilling and training them for customer engagement.
  • Conduct routine updates on new products/technologies for internal sales staff.
  • Work closely with Regional/Global Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers to stay updated on the latest products and technologies.
  • Deliver engaging technical demonstrations highlighting Trend Micro products' advantages and benefits using solid messaging, presentation skills, and public speaking.
  • Encourage and empower partners and channels to propose, position, and convince customers of our solutions.
  • Present complex technical issues and solutions to all organizational levels in an engaging and understandable manner.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to design solutions that address customer problems.
  • Develop close relationships to influence the customer's technical strategy.
  • Deliver training to customers and prospects about Trend Micro solutions.
  • Work with technical support to ensure ongoing quality support and customer health.
  • Contribute to departmental best practices, strategies, methodologies, and documentation for increased efficiency.
  • Continuously learn and participate in technical communities to maintain current knowledge.
  • Participate in webinars, workshops, and industry events as a speaker or panelist; excellent public speaking skills are an advantage.

EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in delivering high-quality presales support and solutions, adding unique value to customers.
  • Strong understanding of SOC operations, security analytics, cloud architecture, cloud-native application security, SASE, CASB, Zero Trust model is a key advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft O365, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS services is advantageous.
  • Exposure to security software solutions like firewalls, content security, intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, and monitoring security is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • A strong interest and passion for all aspects of cybersecurity and customer security.
  • Good understanding of public cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.

Apply strong problem-solving skills to design solutions that address customer problems. Develop close relationships to influence the customer’s technical strategy. Deliver training to customers and prospects about Trend Micro solutions. Work with technical support to ensure ongoing quality support and customer health. Contribute to departmental best practices, strategies, methodologies, and documentation for increased efficiency. Continuously learn and participate in technical communities to maintain current knowledge. Participate in webinars, workshops, and industry events as a speaker or panelist; excellent public speaking skills are an advantage. EXPERIENCE Extensive experience in delivering high-quality presales support and solutions, adding unique value to customers. Strong understanding of SOC operations, security analytics, cloud architecture, cloud-native application security, SASE, CASB, Zero Trust model is a key advantage. Knowledge of Microsoft O365, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS services is advantageous. Exposure to security software solutions like firewalls, content security, intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, and monitoring security is beneficial. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. A strong interest and passion for all aspects of cybersecurity and customer security.
