Job Description

Trains and supervisors house officers. Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees and to minimize opportunities for loss or damage. Anticipates potential problems and reacts to disturbances and prohibited conduct. Responds to emergency situations as needed.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies / service procedures / standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services / features and local attractions / activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

  • Maintain complete awareness of :

  • Familiarity with the operational use of the fire alarm enunciator panel.
  • Be knowledgeable of the areas to be controlled, officers on duty, building locations, emergency telephone numbers and the facilities and availability of emergency services.
  • Resolve safety hazard situations.
  • Investigate suspicious persons on hotel property.
  • Conduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guest complaints; complete documented reports.
  • Respond to the scene of guest / employee accident promptly; administer first aid / CPR; communicate specified information to personnel as required.
  • Comply with state regulations and hotel guidelines for handling intoxicated guests.
  • Report to scenes of vehicles accidents / thefts and document specified information.
  • Coordinate lost and found items program. Document, organize and store all lost and found items given to Loss Prevention; document guest inquiries for lost items and coordinate return of lost items to guests.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras.
  • Supervise the entire Loss Prevention staff assigned to the shift.
  • Manage all fire alarms and emergencies within the property.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in security / loss prevention
  • 1 year experience in similar role
  • Previous Hotel, Law Enforcement, or Military experience an asset
  • Law enforcement proficiency certificates an asset
  • Previous guest relations training in hospitality an asset
  • CPR First Aid certification required
  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications
  • Knowledge of local laws, investigative methods, fire safety, and Health & Safety programs

    Study and develop conceptual designs, prepare detailed engineering solutions, plan monitor and coordinate all assigned modifications and projects in conjunction with project management and end user team for a wide range of tasks related to discipline scope.
    - Act as a key focal point for discipline engineering aspects for the in-house engineering/subcontracted engineering and review the design/engineering work conducted in line with defined requirements, industry best practices and contractual agreements.

    **About this role**
    - Preparation of Loss Prevention Philosophies and Design Basis document specific to Project scope.
    - Ability to design Active Fire Protection system using industry renowned software including preparation of Firewater demand calculation report, fire protection hydraulics and fire protection P&IDs.
    - Ability to design Passive Fire Protection system including drawings & schedules.
    - Ability to carry out Hazardous Area Classification of facility including preparation of HAC schedule and HAC layouts.
    - Ability to identify various safety studies required including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA etc for project scope based on basic engineering documents.
    - Participate in project specific safety studies and provide technical expertise to ensure inherently safer design.

    **What you need to bring**
    - B.Sc. Chemical Engg or equivalent from a recognized university.
    - Minimum 4 years Middle east/Gulf experience is mandatory
    - Proficiency in English Language (Speak, Read and Write)
    - Certification to facilitate safety studies will be an added advantage.
    - 6 years’ work experience in Engineering for petrochemical, Oil and Gas industry.

    Job Description

    Develop and lead comprehensive Loss Prevention and HSE activities for Project, ensuring all related requirements such as philosophies, codes, practices are in compliance.
    - Provide clear guidance to the contractors and facilitate resolution of related issues to complete discipline activities consistent with project objectives and milestones.

    **About this role**
    - Participates as a key member in the Loss Prevention and HSE activities to ensure that the Contractors comply with the Contract requirements including codes and standards. Provide guidance to the Contractors to promote compliance.
    - Manage the Contractor in the safe delivery of the scope of work; verify and ensure compliance with Company SHE and Loss Prevention requirements, standards, specifications, instructions and regulatory and environmental requirement.
    - Engage across disciplines including Process, Structural, Electrical, E&I, Piping, Mechanical, Pipeline, Risk; understand and communicate the requirements of FEED/EPC design; efficiently translate Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the Contractor.
    - Monitor the progress and delivery of the Loss Prevention and HSE work scope; verify that risk assessment plans are suitable and include required risk assessments and risk workshops as per Project phase and Company Gates requirement
    - Assists in the plans and schedules the Loss Prevention and HSE deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with Qatar operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
    - Report progress of close-out on weekly basis for presentation to management and ensure effective communication and coordination
    - Supervise and solve technical problems as they are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.
    - Seek guidance on areas beyond technical knowledge and manage implementation of solutions.
    - Chair meetings if required to collect and disseminate information pertaining to Loss Prevention engineering actions; advise Management in a timely manner where issues are unable to be resolved and may impact the project delivery.
    - Provide guidance and input during Project phases for the Packages, Contractor strategies/procedures to achieve project Integration objectives as required; participate in Constructability Reviews, Pre-Startup Reviews etc as required.
    - Lead / drive contractors to timely conduct and deliver safety studies such as QRA, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, PHA, Safety Case, SHE studies etc. per execution plan.
    - Ensure approved Loss Prevention recommendations and programs are utilized by PMT to improve safety in design and in construction, reduce inefficiencies, and maintain high safety standards.

    **What you need to bring**
    - Preferred degree in Engineering or Internationally recognized certification in loss Prevention.
    - 10+ years of experience in discipline with preferred at least five years demonstrated senior engineering experience in major capital projects (preferably to Carbon Capture and Storage related Projects)
    - Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
    - Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people in a multi-cultural environment.
    - A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English

    Job Title: Security Officer (Cyber Security)

    The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and safeguarding the organization's IT/OT infrastructure against cyber threats. The role involves incident management, vulnerability assessments, security tool management, and ensuring compliance with approved security frameworks and policies.

    Responsibilities
    • Monitor data and network traffic (internal and external) to detect and report suspicious activities.
    • Analyze, triage, and remediate security incidents, including malware and vulnerability management.
    • Manage, operate, and update security tools (SIEM, SOAR, Firewalls, Sandboxing, VPNs, etc.).
    • Enforce security and access control policies; identify and report misuse or abuse of access.
    • Provide security consultations to developers, network engineers, and related teams.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and ensure timely mitigation of risks.
    • Stay updated on the latest IT/OT cyber threats, attacks, and security trends.
    • Ensure adherence to Qatar-approved security frameworks and best practices.
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum 8+ years of experience in cyber security.
    • Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, Internet protocols, OT segmentation).
    • Good understanding of cloud environments, client-server and web applications, and relational databases.
    • Excellent command of English (reading and writing).
    • Relevant certifications in Information Security are required (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.).
