SECURITY SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

The Technician will be responsible for the installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic security systems like CCTV, access control, and fire alarms, while ensuring all work complies with MOI-SSD technical requirements.

Key responsibilities include system installation, routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and performing reactive repairs, often requiring specific MOI-SSD approved certifications and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

• Install, terminate, and test cabling for systems such as IP CCTV and Access Control Systems (ACS), as well as mount and connect cameras and other security devices.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance on security equipment to ensure optimal performance. This includes tasks like system updates, backups, and security checks.
• Diagnose and fix technical issues related to security system components and perform reactive repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all installations and work strictly adhere to the technical requirements set by the Ministry of Interior's Security Systems Department (MOI-SSD).
• Provide support during system testing and commissioning phases.

Qualifications & Skills
:

• An MOI-SSD approved technician certification is often a requirement or a strong preference.
• Experience with CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS) and other extra-low voltage (ELV) systems.

Lead day-to-day field supervision for integrated perimeter-security projects covering

What you'll do

• Supervise installation, testing & commissioning (T&C) and preventive/corrective maintenance for road blockers, barriers, CCTV, UVSS and related ELV systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BSc in Electrical/Telecom/Security (or equivalent), 5–8 years in perimeter/security systems with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Hands-on with road blockers/barriers, CCTV (IP/PoE), networking, UVSS, ANPR/LPR, and T&C.
• Familiar with crash-ratings, HSE, permits, and traffic-management on live sites.
• Driving license; strong English (Arabic a plus). Vendor certs (Axis/Genetec/Milestone/Lenel, etc.) are an advantage.
• GCC critical-infrastructure experience preferred

SECURITY SYSTEMS PRE-SALES ENGINEER

Responsibilities
:

Assists sales teams by providing technical expertise, designing security solutions, and ensuring technical feasibility of proposals.

This role involves understanding client requirements, aligning solutions with MOI SSD standards, and preparing technical documentation like BOQs and system architecture.

• Engaging with clients to understand their security requirements and challenges, often through site surveys and feasibility studies.
• Designing customized security surveillance solutions, including CCTV, access control, and other ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) systems, ensuring they meet MOI standards and client specifications.
• Preparing detailed technical proposals, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), system architecture diagrams, and compliance documents.
• Working closely with sales teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and aligned with client needs, often participating in presentations to clients.
• Keeping abreast of the latest technologies and security standards, particularly MOI SSD (Ministry of Interior Security Standards).

Qualifications & Skills
:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field is typically required.
• 3-5 years of experience in CCTV design, security systems presales, or a similar role is generally expected.
• Strong knowledge of MOI SSD standards, video analytics, video storage solutions, and VMS (Video Management Systems) like Milestone, Genetec, or Avigilon.
• Certifications in CCTV, networking, or security systems (e.g., CCNA, Milestone, Genetec) are often preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and preparing technical documentation.

SECURITY SYSTEMS -TECHNICIAN
