Primary Purpose of the Job

QatarEnergy is looking to recruit an IT Technician in the field of Infrastructure Security who will join a team responsible for overall protection and preservation of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the ICT systems that supports business operations in close coordination with system engineers and team lead. The new member is required to operate, support, and maintain the day-to-day security operations and maintenance of Systems & Network Security services, devices, tools & services. The role will be an enabler to the company’s success through development and implementation of security practices that create a secure working environment. Required Experience and Skills

Five or more years of demonstrated experience in IT security operations function. Good knowledge of system security operations related to endpoint security, host-based firewall, device control, application whitelisting, proxy services for internet browsing, email gateways, etc. Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) operations like certificate generation, renewal, revocation, etc. Good knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and troubleshooting skills of issues related to endpoint security. In addition to good understanding of common networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, TLS, SMTP, etc. Provide first level response outside office hours and second level Support during working hours for Systems Security such as endpoint security, host-based firewall, device control, application whitelisting, PKI operations, etc. Identify, troubleshoot, and solve technical problems following the established procedures, guidelines within established SLA limits. Provide first level response during and outside office hours for Network Security services such as network access controls, security checks for email releasing, Multifactor authentication tokens requests, Internet browsing (proxy) covering URL filtering, SSL inspection, file scanning, etc. Conduct regular preventative hardware/software maintenance procedures for systems to avoid potential risks interruption of infrastructure security operations and deal with Network Operation Center (NOC) alerts. In addition to ensure regular updates on ICT Asset Inventory and follow ICT policies and standards for asset deployment, commissioning, decommissioning, and write-off. Review and Validate service requests to ensure that all mandatory approvals have been provided to meet audit requirements and within SLA limits. Provide the required support in response to security incidents/evidence collection tasks to help identify abnormal activities and attacks, if any. Educational Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, IT technical Diploma or related discipline. 5 + years technical experience with Systems/Network Security such as endpoint security protection, whitelisting solutions, file sandboxing, certificates creation, device controls, Proxy solutions, email gateway solutions, etc. Recognized information security certification such as MCSE, CCNA, or CCNP is a plus. Familiarity with current information security best practices and standards such as ISO, NIST, etc. Proficiency in written and spoken English with good communication skills.

Responsible for overseeing Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities for assigned Areas to ensure EPC PC&C Contractor and Subcontractor executes Telecommunication and Security Systems activities and delivers systems and subsystems as per agreed planning until completion.
- Ensures PC&C engineering (preparation), such as systemization, pre-commissioning and commissioning planning, database set-up in coordination with other stakeholder disciplines and company and contractor/subcontractor departments, i.e. planning.
- Provides clear guidance to the EPC Contractor and facilitates resolution of pre-comm/comm issues to meet project objectives and milestones.
- This position is responsible to ensure all planning and execution activities associated with the pre-comm/comm of assigned area relating to Telecom activities is achieved by the EPC contractor, including third parties such as other EPC Contractors, vendors, consultants, sub-contractors etc., and are executed to Project’s specifications and requirements.
- Major challenges for this role include (1) effectively guide EPC contractor, including vendors and subcontractors and pre-comm/comm team to produce timely deliverables up to start-up. (2) maintaining constructive working relationship with the EPC contractor(s), including vendors and subcontractors to ensure delivery and execution of pre-comm/comm work scope in accordance with project requirements and (3) maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Operations, quality, engineering, construction) to ensure alignment of systems completions execution.
- Delivering of the scope of work for the assigned area relating to Telecom activities to achieve project expectations, in particular design and construction of very large facilities.

**About this role**
- Provides Telecommunication and Security Systems expertise, to lead safe execution of the Telecom Pre-Comm and Commissioning scope of work in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule
- Demonstrate leadership in planning and execution driving EPC contractor to deliver as per project milestones. Review, approve Telecom Pre-Comm/Comm checksheets, Construction Work Packages, and provide supervision of pre-comm/comm scope of work by EPC contractor, supports contractor by helping to address gaps and coordination with operations and other disciplines within CPY team.
- Maintains close liaison with members of Engineering, quality, construction, operations Teams and accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned in compliance with project objectives, Telecom and Security System specifications and industry best practices.
- Guides EPC Contractor's Telecom pre-comm/comm activities and validating contracts, including vendors, subcontractor resources, personnel qualifications, usage of appropriate tools; adherence to project objectives, requirements, specifications, and verification processes. Provide assurance of CTR/SCTR adhere to Project SHES procedures.
- Assesses and validates EPC Contractor’s procedures for SIMOPS, Work under Permit, Partial Handover requirements and perform progress measurement / reporting to drive assigned pre-commissioning/commissioning activities. Lead puch close out activities and handovers.
- Manages the Telecom discipline deliverables updates/red-lines and support field engineering where needed in support of pre-comm/comm activities. As required, develop short term mitigation plans to achieve intermediate milestones and bridging scope for final completions.
- Responsible for following up and assuring schedule and related milestones are achieved, provides data (rundown curves, charts, graphs), identify material & skills gaps, develop recovery plans to address any schedule delays if any. Accountable for knowledge of and sharing previous lessons learned, capturing, and communicating current lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.
- Review, update and amend procedures and specifications to ensure that all pre-comm/comm references are up to date and relevant.

**What you need to bring**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as an Telecommunications Commissioning Engineer with a broad knowledge of commissioning planning and execution experience, for LNG liquefaction facilities or large Oil & Gas facility.
- Experienced pre-commissioning/commissioning of field instrumentation such as PAGA Systems, CCTV Systems, Fiber Optic Networks, Access Control Systems, LAN Networks, VHF and UHF TETRA systems, Industrial Wireless Networks, MOV’s; Fence Intrusion Detection Systems, OTN Networks, Active fibre optic monitoring systems, Ship to Shore Link Systems (Trelleborg).
- Good understanding of International (ISA/IEC) Standards and best practices in the areas of Telecommunication installations.
- Demonstrated experience of using Instrument calibration tools and instrument configuration set-ups.
- Experience in systemization

**About the role**

In this role, you will be providing 24X7 IT Support and assistance to various physical security systems installed across Qatar Airways Group and Subsidiary Companies. You will be coordinating with different stakeholders for Physical security system technical evaluation and product finalization in QR Outstation offices.

You will be responsible for assisting the team in preparation of RFI, RFQ, RFT documents and coordinate with Procurement for Purchase Order creation and release. You will be coordinating with vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure services are in line with agreed SLA.

In addition, you will be responsible for Asset and inventory management for all physical security systems.

- To be successful in the role you must hold a Bachelor's degree with minimum 4 years of experience in physical security system domain. You must be proficient in CCTV design principles, product selection and bill of quantity preparations.
- You must have hands on experience in working with various security related products and video management system platforms currently available in the market. Familiarization of current market trends and technology pertaining to security products is expected. Strong interpersonal and communication skills including analytical abilities is required.
- Must have customer facing experience with good English written and verbal skills.
- Must handle multiple tasks at one time and work successfully as part of a team, while being under pressure.

The lead will be accountable for the overall systems security controls design and implementation for the systems

information security domains and ensure robust systems security controls architectures based on current International

security best practices and industry frameworks in line with ICT KPIs and CSFs. In addition, the new member will be

responsible to support and maintain the day-to-day operations and system change lifecycle of QatarEnergy’s critical

security devices, tools & services and shall provide senior technical support for all perimeter security devices whilst

providing leadership & mentoring to the team members.

**Experience & Skills**:

- 10+ years of progressive combined technical experience in systems security solutions, including experience with security

principles, and defense-in-depth techniques, related standards, and protocols with a minimum of 7+ years professional

hands-on experience in design and support of complex systems security infrastructure preferably in the Oil and Gas

industry.
- Expert level of technical hands-on experience in implementation and operation of systems related but not limited to

following systems security technologies.
- Ability to identify, implement, create, and operate endpoint security controls, standards, processes, and procedures and

ensuring that they are compliant with QP’s security policies and internationally recognized security frameworks and
