Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement and purchasing activities on a residential basis in Doha. The role focuses on managing non-technical contracts and material purchasing to support operations in compliance with company procedures and referentials. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full purchase process for non-technical contracts and materials

- Utilize market intelligence, cost models, and target pricing to define procurement strategy
- Prepare tender packages and lead CFT/RFQ processes including negotiations
- Evaluate technical offers (via audit-compliant processes) and assess commercial/contractual terms
- Issue internal evaluations, external recommendations (to QatarEnergy TC where applicable), and finalise purchase orders, frame contracts, or call-off orders
- Expedite deliveries, ensure timely material receipt, and manage warehouse coordination
- Resolve invoice payment delays in collaboration with Finance
- Follow up on supplier claims and issues
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards, legal compliance, and transparency in all procurement activities
- Maintain accurate supplier performance records and provide feedback
- Use SAP (UNISOL), Ariba, and Agora for all procurement operations
- Keep internal stakeholders updated on order status and supply timelines
- Support procurement reporting and maintain fully auditable documentation
- Participate in duet meetings and collaborate with other departments to ensure supply chain efficiency

- Maintain high standards of purchasing in terms of cost, time, quality, HSE, and compliance
- Continuously improve procurement processes and productivity tools

- Promote competition, fairness, and transparency throughout the purchasing lifecycle
- Align purchasing activities with the strategic partnership between TotalEnergies and QatarEnergy
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a procurement or buyer role, ideally within the energy or industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Skilled in SAP (UNISOL), ARIBA, and AGORA procurement tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
- Familiarity with international trade, shipping logistics, and compliance standards

- Assist to conduct periodic market survey in association with department concerned to determine and/or validate the availability and prices of market goods.
- Assist to keep track of all outstanding purchase orders to ensure that goods are delivered on time, in formalizing a monthly outstanding order report per department.
- Participates in negotiations for service contracts.
- Identifies and organizes adequate storage for all perpetual inventory items and implements corporate policy, products and initiatives in order to maximize cost effectiveness.
- Obtains competitive quotations and bids.
- Identifies and develops reliable sources of supply.
- Processes purchase requests from departments. Must be familiar with most of the regular items procured by the hotel.
- Assist in processing of replacement for damaged and near expiry items and also service of damaged machines or equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification
- Two years or more years of experience as a Buyer in a Luxury & Lifestyle hotel
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends
