- To supervise and control the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of mechanical equipment in a safe manner, in accordance with procedures and accepted technical standards.
- The equipment includes, but not limited to cooling towers, condensers & chilled water pumps, Tertiary pumps, ozone generators, air compressors, fire pumps, water treatment systems, Sanitary fixtures, vacuum pumps, wet and dry sprinkler systems, pipework related to water and irrigation systems and associated equipment like motorized valves, etc.
- The implementation of preventive & corrective maintenance activities for all the mechanical equipment’s (Pumps, compressors, engines, gear reducers & valves)
- Schedule and obtain project material and manpower
- Creating Root cause analysis for the equipment breakdown cases.
- **At least 3-5 years of experience in the field of Mechanical maintenance & an Engineering degree from a reputed university.**:
- **Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred**

Objective: A leading European multi-discipline contractor in Qatar requires 6 Shift Managers for the maintenance of the World's Largest free-standing Aircraft Hangar at NDIA (Qatar).
Main Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the overall 'hard' maintenance of the Aircraft hangar in line with its airlines' 5-star service.
- Managing and delegating to a team of 120 engineers and technicians on site.
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Subordinates: 120 Technicians & Engineers
Number Required: 6
Duration: Permanent
Desired Start Date: 15/02/2014
Working Hours: 8.5 hours per day
University Qualifications: Must be degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Nature and Length of Previous Experience: 8 years experience in a similar role.
Specialist Knowledge: Shift management experience, with a service background (not necessarily construction). Must have ideally worked on the FM of an Aircraft Hangar.
Soft Skills and Personality Traits: Leadership, Organisation.
Language Fluency: English.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:- Delivery of mechanical engineering projects on time
- Management of project resource requirements in conjunction with senior engineer
- Ability to liaise with design team and site team is essential
- Design economical, sustainable, and buildable schemes within tight time and budget constraints
- Involvement in office technical activities such as writing design guides
- Mentoring junior engineering staff
- Providing technical input for the design team
