Working Schedule: 6 days per week

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor with a strong background in civil and infrastructure works to join a long-term energy project. • Monitor all site activities, conduct inspections, and ensure work is carried out in line with approved risk assessments, method statements, permits, and instructions.
• Identify and implement risk reduction measures across all phases of construction.
• Review and check method statements, safety certifications, and other related documents submitted by contractors and consultants.
• Take corrective action in cases of lapses or delays.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors to achieve safety and quality goals, recommending solutions where necessary.
• Attend progress meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; analyse critical issues and propose timely resolutions.
• Conduct field inspections, surveys, and provide technical advice.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, and coordinate corrective measures.
• Provide guidance and technical support to contractors and teams.

• Review and provide input on construction method statements, material submittals, and commissioning procedures.
• Act as the performing authority for contractor Permit to Work activities.
• Oversee site works for mechanical disciplines, ensuring safe execution in line with approved specifications.
• Participate in constructability reviews as needed.
• Review contractors' schedules, method statements, and job safety analyses.
• Coordinate mobilisation of contractors, including site laydown areas and permit processes.
• Inspect and test completed works; arrange pre-commissioning checks and initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates.

Primary Purpose of the Job

Responsible for supervision of construction works executed by contractors to ensure Department's assigned projects are constructed in accordance with the approved Scope of Work, engineering design, QHSE standards & specifications. Oversees and provides guidance and advice to Construction Supervisors in review of construction method statements, material submittals, commissioning and handover to end users. Responsible as performing authority for Permit to Work by the Contractors.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of twelve (12) years experience in relevant construction and installation experience of projects in oil & gas industry.
• Experienced in the implementation of industry best practices and systems, processes and standards related to construction.
• Good skills in construction management and leadership, team building, effective communication and conflict resolution.

Educational Qualifications

• B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Diploma with extensive construction related experience in oil and gas industry. An additional/secondary HSE qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous.
