Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High School Diploma Experience: Minimum 3 years' security or law enforcement/military experience. Other Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Be a U.S. citizen. Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language. Be able to pass the medical and physical requirements outlined in the contract. Meet all standards as required by the contract. Have a clean driving record with a valid driver's license. Must possess Active Secret Security Clearance Must pass pre-deployment requirements including drug test, medical, 52 hours of training, and a psychological exam. Must be able to pass a physical fitness test (PFT) Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Employees must be willing and able to perform job requirements in this environment, as well as deploying to Qatar for extended periods. Work schedules are typically six (6) days per week and twelve (12) hours per day. Work is performed in shifts and may include day or night shift. Employees must be able to lift, carry and/or wear forty (40) pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time and be capable of running during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk. All staff must maintain physical, medical, and dental requirements for duration of deployment.   • Develop programs and activities that will ensure students’ academic, personal, social and emotional growth.
  • Develop resource materials and programs relating to student discipline for teachers’ reference and use.
  • Provide workshops and training to teachers and staff on matters related to dealing with students with special needs as well as students with behavioral, social and psychological problems.
  • Work with parents, teachers and nurse to identify students’ developmental needs.
  • Provide a link between students and appropriate community resources and outside agencies in Qatar, adolescent day treatment programs, hospital-based counseling programs and Qatar Protective Services.
  • In collaboration with parents, refer students to outside agencies/hospitals within Qatar when needed.
  • Develop positive relationships with parents, liaising with parents regarding disciplinary /health/social/psychological issues.
  • Attend professional meetings and seminars to keep abreast of the recent development in the subject.
  • Maintain accurate student records and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Counseling license preferred.
