Job Opportunity: Specialized Pediatric Speech and Language Pathology
Location: Sidra Medicine, Child and Adolescent Mental Health

Position Overview:
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist to join our Inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit (CAMHS). Candidates must have extensive experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, as well as mental health conditions.
The Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist will provide care for patients aged 0-18 years within an inpatient setting. You will also contribute to developing services for these patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Psychiatry, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
Experience in managing Autism, Attention Disorders, Developmental Language Disorder, Selective Mutism, and other childhood mental health conditions is essential. Leadership experience in a specialized area of Speech and Language Pathology is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized Speech and Language Pathology services within a secure inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and connect with outpatient services as needed.
- Supervise junior Speech and Language Pathologists.
- Lead service and resource development in your specialist area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience, including pediatric hospital or clinic work.
- Expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders and mental health conditions.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams for assessment and treatment.
- Formal training in Autism and ADHD.
- Licensure or registration in your country, with eligibility for licensure in Qatar.
