Review, validate, and approve technical documents in coordination with the team.
Perform power system studies in ETAP, including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonics, and power factor correction.
Prepare load lists, single-line diagrams, cable sizing calculations and cable schedules.
Design inputs for electrical equipment layouts and cable routing plans (duct banks, trays, trenches, cellars) for substations and other facilities.
Perform and review equipment sizing calculations (capacitors, transformers, DG sets, UPS System, lighting (DIALux), earthing and lightning protection).
Review lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection layouts, and distribution board schedules.
Prepare Material Take Off
Prepare Specifications, datasheets and Material requisition for all the Electrical Equipment
Provide technical evaluations of bidder proposals, including layouts, site preparations, and compliance with project specifications.
Lead and support a team of designers to produce, review, and finalize drawings and schedules.
Maintain strong knowledge of codes, standards, and both onshore/offshore electrical design practices for oil and gas projects.
Requirements
Minimum 12 years of extensive experience in Electrical design and engineering for oil & gas and large industrial onshore/offshore projects.
Experience with brownfield and asset services projects/contracts.
Proficiency in performing design calculations.
Previous Qatar project exposure with knowledge of Shell DEP, QatarEnergy and other local regulations are highly desirable.

Education, Accreditation & Training
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (full-time).
MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or working toward accreditation, is an advantage.
