Job Description
We are searching for a dependable Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our company. The senior electrical engineer’s responsibilities include analyzing existing electrical systems and making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance, inspecting the equipment, running diagnostics, as well as training new hires. You should ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
To be successful as a senior electrical engineer, you should demonstrate strong leadership abilities and organizational skills. Outstanding senior electrical engineers are passionate about engineering developments and able to efficiently troubleshoot systems.
**Responsibilities**:
- Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules.
- Checking, monitoring electrical shop drawings
- Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
- Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
- Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes.
- Participating in conferences, events, and networking and learning opportunities.
- Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents.
- Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
- Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Assisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
- Work distribution on engineers, Design and shop drawing team
- Ensuring a safe, positive work environment.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical designing, monitoring and shop drawings.
- Extensive practical experience.
- Additional license or certification may be required.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Practical experience with CAD software.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Job Summary**:
Working under the supervision of the Lead Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for detailing Electrical Designs calculations, schematic diagram and specifications to meet customer requirements.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of Electrical systems.
- Develop final design documents, including specification, calculations, sequences of operation, BOQ as well as the electrical design drawings and final construction documents
- Have thorough good knowledge of codes related to the design
- Oversee and resolve the various design issues during all phases.
- Provides design input to CAD design team.
- Making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.
- Assist in the Production of detailed schematics.
- Interfaces with other departments to resolve questions and technical issues. Assists in scheduling engineering tasks for assigned programs.
- Interfaces with customers and contracts to resolve customer related issues.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedure within the industry.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by the Lead Engineer.
- Accepts other duties as assigned.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements and Audits.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Business development & tenders management activities when requested.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D design.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing in English

- B.E/ M.E Electrical Engineer
- Having 5 to 7 years of experience in Design
- Having Design Background
- Locally Based in Qatar
